Macro Monday is easy to play, snap a macro (or any close-up) photo, post it on your blog and come back here and sign Mr Linky. Don't forget to visit each other. :)
My son brought me a present - Moose Poo - sadly that's the closest to a Moose we got. It's sweet that he gathered it so lovingly in some birch bark though, isn't it? And doesn't anything look great under a macro lens? ;0)
Maybe I would have preferred a wildflower present - but then there's the issue of the bug. . .
At least he has a sense of humor!
ReplyDeleteYou always find the neatest stuff to share with us!
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing an article about Christmas ornaments made from reindeer crap. Apparently if there's enough lacquer wrapped around it, pretty much anything can serve for the base. I just hope the lacquer wasn't clear-coat. Because ew.
ReplyDeleteBut you're right... in a macro view, pretty much everything is interesting.
um.. nice picture?
ReplyDeleteBut hey, it's the thought that counts, right :D I must say that your post gave me pretty nice morning laugh, thank you for that! Greetings from Finland!
ReplyDeleteSo what did you do with the poo, after photographing them?
ReplyDeleteIts fascinating what a macro lens can do to anything. Suddenly mouse poo, flower and bug- all become interesting subjects. My subject this wee is ants and aphids.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I love that gift! How old is he? Beautiful shot, the last one!
ReplyDeleteI had no luck with moose either.
ReplyDelete4 weeks in Norway and not ONE.
Your son's sweet. At least you know now close up what moose poo looks (and smells) like ;)
Nah, that wildflower might be a protected species and the pic is fine, thanks. Lasts much longer than the flower would have :)
Your son is so loving and caring!! how beautiful! and yes: love macro shots too (except when the subject is an insect, the one you posted is the size I can handle, lol)
ReplyDeleteMy MM
Lavatorial!
ReplyDeleteHappy Macro Monday to you.
I never would have imaged that moose poo looked like this! It is rather nice looking, especially the way you photographed it...although I do prefer the flower...even with the bug:)
ReplyDeleteThe wildflower image is an exquisite composition Lisa. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteNever saw poo so perfectly shaped! Great shot of that flower, by the way!
ReplyDelete:) it looks like seeds. The flower is pretty
ReplyDeleteMy first thought when I saw the top pic was that's poo. LOL! Your son is an inquisitive one and very kind to share with you his explorations. Sorry you couldn't see a moose though. Your macro shots are perfect. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteSo thoughtful, your Son. LOL
ReplyDeleteI like bugs, I'll stick with the flower.
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely the thought that counts! Still waiting for my Valentine's card from my daughter...they don't improve much on their gift giving, even when they reach the ripe old age of 23.
ReplyDeleteLove the flower.... the poo not so much but it was ah sweet of him!
ReplyDeleteCute kid. LOL You're gonna have GREAT stories to tell HIS children. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLOL! it's the thought that counts!
ReplyDeleteNothing is perfect.
ReplyDeleteGotta luv kids and the gifts they bring ... LOL
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
One of the best things about having boys are those kinds of gifts. You just never know what they'll think is special. I'd say moose poop, lovingly gathered for you is the equivalent of diamonds LOL
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa,
ReplyDeleteWell, it's different! At least he didn't bring the moose, or maybe that would have been a better Macro! Mine is posted. Have a great day!

ReplyDeleteInteresting images. Moose poo,...hmmmm.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great son. I love these photos. You guys are so much fun!
ReplyDeleteOh, I don't know. Kind of great, but . . . Let's just say I'm glad I had a little girl who did the pink thing. But the birchbark container was SO thoughtful, and creative, too!
ReplyDeleteHow can you be sure it is from a moose? Your son is so thoughtful ;-) .
ReplyDeleteWhen things gets under the Macro you can see so many things that's not visible for the eye
ReplyDeleteI don't think I know anyone else who has received a gift of moose poo.
ReplyDeletewow! you can make moose poo look like delectable nuts/chocolate! and yeah, flowers are great... without the bugs!
ReplyDeleteYour son sounds so loving.
