Thank you Kristi for hosting this fun Photo Scavenger Hunt!
I've always thought this castle in downtown Point was pretty cool architecture. Just too bad it is now broken up into apartments. |
Last year my son and I quickly planted some tulips when they were done blooming and didn't think much about it. I am excited to say that impulse gardening must work because they are coming up! |
Sharing my music with JoZe's angel. |
Jelly Bellies in a glass puffer fish we bought at the Milwaukee museum last time we were there. Have you ever tried to photograph an empty clear puffer fish? |
From the archives - A blacksmith works with red hot metal. |
From the archives: This is from some time ago, but trust me, it looks a lot like this around here now. |
I found this doorway, on an old abandoned school, very interesting. |
A reflection of me in my son's eye. |
I love this cemetery with its grottoes on the edges. |
I am not a shoe person but I could not resist these Vera Wang sandals. Also my first set of heels in at least 10 years. I love them! |
In the summer this beach will be hopping but for today it's just me and the birds. |
My favorite drink in the whole wide world! Diet Coke! |
With the plethora of murals around downtown Stevens Point you might be surprised to know that I drove several miles away to shot the water tower in a nearby town. |
Drip, drip, drip, little April showers . . . |
When I was a kid my parents had a couple of Model Ts that we drove in parades. Many of my dad's hours were spent in the garage as he rebuilt this 1918 Runabout. These were our Christmas cards that year. |
Just try to tell me that stained glass isn't a work of art. ;) |
A statue in a grotto at a nearby cemetery. |
I think it's pretty cool that this old church is now a place were stained glass is created. |
This sky made us pull over to enjoy it's momentary presence. The glow around the clouds was very short-lived. |
I was in motion when I took this photo of my son and husband, also in motion. |
From the archives: Enjoying a nice night walk. |
A tree silhouetted as the sun was beginning to set. |
Wild Rose has a neat old mill, built in 1855. |
This unusual perspective is of a sign pointing the way to a little chapel on an island at the Red Mill. |
I was drawn to this huge unusually-blue mums last time we got a bouquet, thought you might like them too. |
Busy, busy, busy - I almost forgot to take a self portrait. . .so here I am folding a towel, sorry it was taken with my cell phone, quickly, so I could finish this post. |
Wow, this looks fun to me, maybe I have to join the hunt too ...

Sandcastle Momma - It says "to live/ to survive" and I got it to mark my cancer survivorship. The butterflies are for each year of my survival, so far three of them. :)

ReplyDeleteOk, my faves: the water tower, the two skies, the blue-mum (most fave), your avatar, and the self portrait.
ReplyDeleteWOW! These are great photos! Super job!
ReplyDeleteYou should've used the reflection of you in your son's eye for the self portrait! I know you could find another reflection -- you probably have dozens of them just lying around everywhere. I'm glad you included it in there somewhere though. Very cool shot!
ReplyDeleteMarvelous choices all of them!

Whoops! Meant to say, but forgot......your diet coke appears to have an eyeball in it. Diet Coke is addictive! I can go forever without, but then drink one and have to have another, and another, and another. My hubby drinks Diet Coke as if it is water.

ReplyDeleteFantastic! Love them all...
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are amazing. I LOVE the reflection one of you in your sons eye. Still wondering how you did that. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of the blue Mum too! Beautiful.
Awesome job on the photo hunt. The sunset and blue mum are striking shots! I was doing the photo hunt, but ran out of time and wasn't able to get everything on the list!!! Maybe next time. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your shots... especially the eye and the drink... the Sky is great too, I love those short lived photo ops!
ReplyDeleteWow, I LOVE your reflection shot. Amazing! And the glass of Coke- looks very refreshing.
ReplyDeleteVery nice :) That was a fun journey.
ReplyDeletei'm back--thanks for stopping by. I love your new avatar on your profile page. I thought it was your most creative shot in the scavenger hunt
ReplyDeletei LOVE the reflection and the blue flower pic!
ReplyDeleteWow! Wonderful! I sure wish I had time to play along. You did an excellent job Lisa :-)
ReplyDeleteShoes and Coce, my favourite pics.
ReplyDeleteSeriously love your blog and how it's set up. Different and cute. And you take a mean photo, too. What do you shoot with? I love your shots for reflection and drink very much. You took something so simple (your son's eye and your glass of diet coke with ice) and made them into rather extraordinary photos. That's talent! Also, the in motion photos you took is really cool.
ReplyDeleteLove the reflection and the doorway shots...but they are all awesome. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! I love the reflection picture!
