Some of the best moments in life are the unplanned ones. We had a surprise puppy born a week ago, so small, so fragile, so dependent. She has a good mama, one who runs when she whimpers, one who curls her body around her to protect her and keep her warm. And I am amazed at the intricacies in all areas of life.

Surprise puppy is doing very well as you can tell by her bulging belly. Contrary to how the photo looks she was anything but still in the light-box, lol. And mama was a wee bit panicked. Dennis loved on Fibi while I tried to get one clear shot of the pup. She is very well taken care of. And at 1 week old she weighs right at 15 oz.
