I just recently started trying my hand at HDR images. High dynamic range imaging (HDRI or just HDR) is a set of techniques that allows a greater dynamic of luminances between light and dark areas of a scene than normal digital imaging techniques. The intention of HDRI is to accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes ranging from direct sunlight to shadows.
It takes a bit of trial and error (mostly errors on my part) to get an image I consider acceptable. The merging of multiple images, usually from 5-7 of them, taken with varying f-stops and some final adjustments in Photoshop, is what gives me the final photos shown below.
Hope you enjoy!

This image is probably most typical for me on HDR. Very vivid color and high contrast.

I took this one a bit far but decided to leave it alone. It is a bit too surreal for my taste.

HDR allows the details in the shadows to show

Moving images are difficult but not impossible with HDR. You have to be able to capture all of the frames in quick succession.

Jenners mentioned that Tuesday (today) there was a “guest post by your loved one” day being hosted by Tattooed Minivan Mom and I quickly threw the keys to my blog at my husband. After he had control of my world I left the room and went outside to play in the snow while he worked his magic. Hope you enjoyed!
