Free
Freedom: exemption from external control, interference, regulation, etc.
Independence: freedom from the control, influence, support, aid, or the like, of others.
Although I am cancer-free, I am never completely free of cancer.

It's all fun and games
Lest you think Philadelphia is all seriousness and historical, I need to show the fun side too! Huge game pieces delighted us in an area full of new buildings and old.
Dominoes, Bingo, Chess and Monopoly, to name a few.
Sorry - how I remember hours of fun playing that as a child.
I was rooked in and could have played for hours!
These unusual art features monopolized a lot of my time.
B-I-N-G-O
And amongst, all the fun and games was an important sculpture, not to be overlooked.
'In commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence'
"Symbolizing family life, 'The wellspring of society, the hope of the future' and the concept of government being of, by and for the people. . ."
A place of celebration and remembrance!
Glad we got all that ironed out. ;0)

Witchy Woman
Can you tell which state we were in when I snapped this?
Maybe this will help. . .
On our way home from Maine we decided to stop in Salem, Massachusetts. . . Tell me you’re not surprised to see they have crosswalks for witches.
I was feeling a little witchy myself. lol
While the main reason for my visit to Salem was the witch trials, the area is full of history. Like Independence Park, where the Declaration of Independence was read July 17, 1776.
