Friday Find Bikes

I can't remember what Dennis handed over for this road bike, but it fit our older son and I think he's enjoying riding it around town. We did find a bike similar to this one on ebay for over $200!



I didn't even know Panasonic made bikes. :0)



This Trek kept me company while my bike got its yearly maintenance done. Pretty good lil bike. Husband thinks he'll be riding it some but I think it might be too small for him. hehehe  I think I'll be putting this on the trainer this winter. :)

Not pictured is a Giant we bought for me, but it appears that the gears are messed up on it so it will be a while before it's ready to ride. And a Trek mountain bike that has a bent back tire - other than the tire it's in great shape and it was the cheapest bike at $3, lol.

We should play more :)

Do what you can with what you have. I happen to have a corn field behind my house.



So I spent some time riding my bike up and down the rows looking for golf balls my family had hit into it. Great exercise, and fun!

Puffball Macro Monday

Puffballs are popping up everywhere.  This one is about the size of a softball.





This one is bigger than a head, but it looks like a face, don't ya think?  The smaller puff being the nose and maybe the stick is his cigar, lol.

Fearful Friday Find

Excited to find a bunch of scary movies just in time for Halloween.  There are 36 movies on these 10 DVDs, we paid $25 for all and we think we'll watch one a night through the month of October.  Some will most likely be so stupid we will turn them off, but I'm a big of fan of B flicks so I will enjoy laughing a few of them too.  And some will probably scare the beejeebers out of me.  October is a fun month!

Substitutions

Has anyone tried substituting whey for instant milk in loaves of bread in a bread machine?



I love substituting flaxseed for my butter and the eggs. I think it gives the bread a much better texture.



And I substitute a little soy flour for some of the bread flour. How healthy can we make this bread?

Happy Macro Monday

For a couple of years husband and I have teased about him getting "smile" tattooed on his shooting finger. But he hasn't gotten around to it, so I decided I would get a smile face on mine as a little reminder to our clients to say "cheese".



I have to credit my husband with taking these two photos as it would have been hard for me to do.  Hope you spend your week smiling. :)

Friday Find - Squares

Picked up a bunch of these upholstery rectangles for 75 cents!  I plan on stitching a throw together for the Jeep. :)

Largest Rosary?

On a backroad near my house is a huge rosary made out of bowling balls.  Fit that one in your pocket. :0)

Friday Find - Jeep Update

You may recall we found 2 kids' Jeeps for free and we had great plans for them. TaDa - One completely remodeled to look like our Jeep.



Dennis is going to add a tire from the parts Jeep to the butt of it so it has a spare too and the back bumper, but other than that I think she's done. :)

Black & Yellow Macro Monday

I am ever amazed at how good my iPhone can do!  We were mini-golfing when I saw this bee buzzing around the black-eyed susans.  I wish he would have faced me, but oh well.
