Joplin MO Survivor story

This is my step-son's story of his experience in the f5 tornado. The house he was in was a few blocks from St John's hospital, which as you may have heard turned 4 inches on its foundation - a 9 story building 4 inches, just imagine how much wind that required!

Bryan recorded a few videos for us while we were there, I think it was cathartic for him.

  2. Oh I am so, so sorry. No only his own trauma and that of his son's, but to witness the death of others who did not make it. That will stay with you forever. I just cannot imagine the intense destruction - even seeing it on film and hearing about it just doesn't make it sink in. God bless the people of Joplin...

  4. How horrible and terrifying this must of been. To be in the middle of the tornado and feel its wrath and then to wittness the aftermath. Bottom line...they got away unscathed...the house and other stuff are just things...they can be replaced...but your life cannot! My prayers are with the town of Joplin Mo and all the other towns n people who were affected by this devastatiing weather through the midwest! May God give you the strength to carry on!

  5. Thanks for sharing your video. When your perfect little world hasn't been disrupted, you forget about those whose worlds have been shattered. Your video was a reminder how much destruction and saddness those poor people had and will have to live with the rest of their lives. Very sad. My heart goes out to them. So glad your step son survived Mother Nature's rath.
