A birdy Macro Monday

Macro Monday is easy to play, snap a macro (or any close-up) photo, post it on your blog and come back here and sign Mr Linky. Don't forget to visit each other. :)

I opted to go for more close up photos today than macro. Hope you don’t mind. I’ve always loved weathervanes and could not resist this one. But, no way was I going to climb up on that roof for ya’ll to get a macro. Seems they are getting more scarce every day.

This carved eagle was also irresistible to me, I did get a little closer to it.

  12. Yes, one more thing that seems to be biting the dust. I must do better this summer at taking barns, old gas stations (if I can find any) and now too, vanes!

  16. Hey Lisa,
Now that I have my new camera I want to grow up to be just like you. Your and Dennis' photography skills just blow me away. I can learn a lot by studying you two. I posted a macro today using my new Rebel SXI.

  17. I prefer crawling around on the ground taking macro....so I will not expect others climbing to do the same! The second shot is great - he is looking for som action!

  21. That is a great carved eagle, I saw a lot of hawks and things I didn't know what they were yesterday in SW WI. I also found the perfect thing for your squirrel, almost got it, but didn't want you to try and use it. Will post a photo later in the week.
(chuckle, I should have gotten it anyway...)

  22. Hi Lisa,

Love the photos. I'm a real sucker for weather vanes and have one perched on top of my barn. It's tipping over but looks kinda cool that way! The eagle is starring us down.
