A few of Life's Delights

Update on Dennis: First thank you all for your encouraging words and prayers!  He will be seeing a cardiologist on Wednesday, and I'm assuming more tests will be scheduled.

What we know thus far - Stress test with scans showed - Left Ventricle is dilated and holter monitor showed supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) - basically the top portion of his heart is beating more rapidly than the lower portion - never even knew that was possible!

What we don't know yet is why.  That is why he has now been referred to the cardiologist.   Will let you know when we know.

You never know where life will take you. But I kinda like discovering unexpected delights along my journey.

Although, I prefer it if the creepy crawlies stay out of my hair. Bugs, possibly getting tangled in my hair is a huge fear for me. They get trapped there and keep wiggling because the hair tightens around them and I go crazy trying to remove them! But, when they stay in their own place - they are rather beautiful!

I’m constantly amazed at all the different weather vanes there are! I wouldn’t mind having a camera one. . . Hmmm, wonder if that exists?! This kitty is in a place of love.

A very well kept pet cemetery sits near High Cliff State Park - good luck finding it though, it took us 3 different searches before we finally made it.

Dance lil Starfish, dance!

lc2277

Haden found the tiniest little starfish! We had to take a look. Then he placed it back in the water and it began to dance!

He looked like he was exercising, or dancing, but he sure didn’t look like he was traveling. Think of all the energy he uses to progress an inch!

Whale Watching in Maine

lc2276

We eagerly boarded the whale boat for our trip out to sea. The trip was supposed to last about 3 hours, but ended up being at least 4. We stood up there in the tip, the whole time, about 40 degrees on the water, going 30 knots, and 96 miles.  Yeah, it was cold!

lc2271

We saw lobster boats with many birds chasing them. We saw puffins, seals, boats, lighthouses and more!

lc2273

It was hard to stay standing, let alone walk.

lc2274

We saw fancy houses!

lc2275

One of these is the Campbell Soup guy’s house, but I cannot remember which one. Martha Stewart also has a home near Bar Harbor and a custom color boat!

lc2270

And for all that we did see, we did not see one whale, except this one at the landing.

New Bird in the Hood

lc2267

I had a new visitor to my yard. A bird I had not seen here before. She tried to ignore me.

lc2268

Peeking over her shoulder coyly.

lc2269

Then she finally let me get a better look. If I’m not mistaken I think she’s a female Scarlet Tanager. Whatever she is, she sure is cute!

Quick Update

Sorry I'm so very far behind - you know me and eventually I'll make it around.  But, Dennis is still having a tough time and we're together 24/7 and I have very little time to be on the computer momentarily.

I did want to let you know his stress test shows - Left Ventricle is dilated - no sign of blockage though, sounds like more tests are needed, still waiting on results of holter monitor.  I really appreciate all of your good wishes and good vibes and prayers and hugs and everything!  Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Maine-ly Boats

lc2259

I really enjoyed seeing all the different kinds of boats.

lc2258

We don’t have big boats with big bobbers like these in Wisconsin!

lc2256

What an awesome 4 mast sailboat!

Black bird flying on the right. . .

lc2254

. . . Seems to have found a spot to rest his wings. Wonder what all the thing-a-ma-jings and whirly-gigs do.

lc2253

Maybe we don’t have boats like these in Wisconsin, because we don’t have lobsters.
