Let It Go
The words I keep chanting, over and over. It isn't working yet, but I'm hoping with more time I can learn to let it go. I think most of us avoid people, and situations that hurt us. But, what do you do if it's a person you can't avoid. A family member, who keeps breaking your heart?
To be clear I am not talking physical pain, I don't care if it is a family member who hits you, they need to be cut out of your life pronto.
The situation I'm talking about is more ify. This person sees nothing wrong in what they're doing. So you remind yourself that they are not doing this to intentionally hurt you. Nevertheless, it hurts you just the same. It's to the point that even talking to this person causes you pain. Do you cut them out of your life? To do so, makes it difficult for other loved ones, as they love you and that person. You don't want to make life hard for them.
This person will never change. They have absolutely no respect for anyone else's feelings. For them, the only feelings that matter are their own. There is no point in talking to them, you have tried, talk is just met with belittlement. Do you keep trying to let it go, or do you walk away? Does the answer depend on how you're related? What if this person is your sibling? Your parent? Your, aunt, cousin, etc? Which relationship can you walk away from, and which must you battle your pain and learn to let it go?

Changing Things Up
I started my blog March 2005 - the day we closed on a construction loan and broke ground. It was a place to share the house building process with our far away family. When I was diagnosed with cancer two weeks after moving into that house it was a place I ranted and cried through surgeries and chemo. My greatest support (outside of my husband) was the people I met through my blog - long before facebook. We went from a chaotic house with 5 teenagers to an empty nest through these years. We got our first, second, third, fourth and fifth grandchildren through these years. My blog helped find my husband's oldest daughter. It helped celebrate 5 years cancer-free, living longer than I "should" have. But I've been winding it down and this blog is almost done. Lisa's Chaos, will be no more.
Facebook has changed the blogosphere. I know I'm not alone in that feeling. I miss the old days. But just like real life, internet communication is always changing. I don't blog near like I used to, but I update my facebook page pretty much every day. I would be happy to have you as a facebook friend.
Thank you SO much for always being here for me! Hope to continue to chat with you on facebook or either/both of the new blogs.

7 Years Cancer-free Macro Monday
My survivor tattoo got to grow this month. I am celebrating 7 years cancer-free. Yippee! Intwined amongst the butterflies are little blue stars - each one representing my wedding anniversary. This month is our 10 year, so now I have 10 twinkling stars.

Macro Monday Hermit
When I stumbled upon this hermit crab it made me remember a time I vacationed with my grandparents along the gulf and brought home a bag of shells. When we got home, I dumped the shells out on the porch to show my cousin and one started crawling away! We both jumped screaming, lol. Cut me some slack though, I was only 8 at the time.

Found Macro Monday
Found these flowers on our trip. :) The warmth did follow us home, at least for a while. Now that I'm home I'm trying to finish up passing the torch. I had someone email while I was gone, hopefully she's still interested, I have messaged her. :)
