A blue heron used to show up in my parent's backyard by their fish pond. I was amazed to see it in like a suburban neighborhood. (Although their is a river not too far away.) They are AMAZING creatures (even though I'm not a bird person myself)
Blue herons are one of my favorite birds! It is a tie between herons, tree swallows and hawks. I always know it is finally spring when the herons show up at the swamp down the road. These shots are gorgeous, I am absolutely in love with your photography!
I accidentally stumbled upon a deep Colorado heronry last year, and you've made me hungry to go back and shoot some more! Just two or three more weeks, and they should be nesting again in the very same spot!
What MARVELOUS bird photos here and in the next post too! As for the Florida flowers ... California gets early blossoms like this too ;-) Hugs and blessings,
It is a cool spder you show and I beat that thois one will eat it if it will see it! Nice photos! MB
ReplyDeleteYou got so many great bird pictures while you were on vacation. I love the last shot with his neck extended.
ReplyDeleteI've never been able to get this close to one of these. Not even with a telephoto. You're a regular bird whisperer, aren't you?
