I have to hold onto these bits of sun because we just don’t see too much of it during the winter and well, winter is almost here and I’m panicking with thoughts of white everywhere, land, sky, just white, for months on end. No sunshine, ever - well, okay, rarely. Is it possible to have the winter blahs before winter even gets here?
Which one should I frame to help brighten my winter days?
I vote for #5. The shot that seems to just go on f o r e v e r!! I love all of them though, Lisa! Absolutely awesome photography!!! You ROCK! I hear ya...not looking forward to months of white and cold. But, I do not spend much time outside at all. I enjoy alot more papercrafts during the winter!!
ReplyDeleteI Love all of them, but my favorite is the last one. Frame it!
ReplyDeleteI've presented you with another bloggy award!! Yay! Check it out over at my bloggy blog! Hugs!
Oh Lisa...and here I am, all morose because I hate DC's winters. Yikes. I bow to your superior winter-survival skills! As far as which one to frame...it is a difficult choice. I think one of the pics with multiple flowers would be nice, since it would remind you that you'll see those fields of dancing flowers again. However...one of the closeups would be gorgeous too...you can see why I'm no help with these things.
ReplyDeleteNumber 4, I think. Because there's LOTS of sunshine there with a little close up too.
ReplyDeleteomg you don't know how much i enjoyed looking that sunflowers, i really adore such.happy WW. mine is up here hope you've got time. nice shots! :)
ReplyDeleteHey Lisa! Those are gorgeous sunflowers, I would frame a large print of the 3rd or 5th one and then do a couple small prints for your bathroom(s)... because you're in there everyday and they would make a great start and finish to every day. :o)
ReplyDeletemy favorites are #'s 1, 6, 7, and the last. all would be wonderful framed. when i lived in kansas, i loved all of the fields of sunflowers that stretched on endlessly. just awesome!
ReplyDeleteIs this Heaven?????
ReplyDeleteIts so beautiful!
Wonderful shots all...I can feel the sun's warmth coming through them. Yes, the number of warm, sunny days are waning...hard to believe.
ReplyDeleteHi Liza all the pictures are beautiful but if i were you, frame the picture of the whole field..
ReplyDeleteI don't know how to decide! They are all so wonderful - perhaps a collage would be good. But if I had to pick #3 and #7 are my favorites.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots of the sunflower field :)
ReplyDeleteCertainly made my day!
The fifth shot is captivating, I loved the fields. :)
ReplyDeleteI wish I could walk into it.
PS: Now I have Sting's "Fields of Barley" stuck in my head...
ReplyDeleteThere are so many delicious shots here. How can you choose just one? I'd go for several, or at least three so I had a series on my wall.
ReplyDeleteIt's cloudy, cold and gray here today and I just want to keep these shots up on the computer for some cheer. Love all of them. I would go with a series. Someone could do a whole room around these beautiful photos. Thanks for the day brightener!
ReplyDeleteMy faves are the bud or the back of the sunflower. Of course, they're all wonderful photos.
ReplyDelete3,4,or5 but I LOVE them all!!!!!Sunflowers always make me smile! Can I have one too?!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes it is possible to get winter blahs before winter is even here. It happened to me every fall before I had my first son...now it hits me after his birthday. I can feel it coming even now.
I love sunflowers (really is there anyone who doesn't?) Those are all just awesome shots!
ReplyDeleteThese are all wonderful and would brighten any winter day. I would frame #5 because of the depth. Without a defined horizon it looks like a field without end! That would be great wallpaper, too, and I don't mean just on a computer. Numbers 6 and nine would also be fun to photoshop with a watercolor or oil effect. I am usually a purest when it comes to photos, but the "PS Toys" make some interesting framables.
ReplyDeleteShoot, Lisa, with these gorgeous beauties, why stop at one? Line your room with them! They're just gorgeous and definitely sunshiny.
ReplyDeletei think the sunflower bud is best to frame liza. it reminds us that no matter what, still there's gonna be sunshine to come!
ReplyDeletehave a great week ahead!
I love your last sunflower picture. I'd frame that one in a second!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is the sunniest bunch of photos that I've ever seen in one place. Beautiful. I think I'd frame the one that isn't opened yet. I'm thinking it shows the promise of warmer days to come. :D
ReplyDeleteWow, hey, you got some bugs in that first one. Purty. You'll get into the winter once it happens and there's no turning back. Let's have some kind of winter weather photo contest. And besides, today is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI like # 3 and the very last one!!!! =)
ReplyDeleteDon't get the winter blahs yet!!!!!!
I would frame that last one on canvas. SO lovely Lisa. I'm so bummed winter is rapidly approaching too. And I adored your ladybug comments - aren't they HORRID!
ReplyDeleteI came across your blog from Alisha and I took the time to scroll through your pictures. I have a Cannon Rebel as well and I'm excited to see what my camera can do. I have always had an interest in photography and after looking through Alisha and yours, I can't wait to get out and take more pics. I liked #4 the best. The angle with the sunflowers is awesome. I would love to follow your blog and if you don't mind, I will put your blog on my blogroll.
ReplyDeletePlease stop by sometime.

ReplyDeleteOOHH so beautiful! the yellow is so bright!! i love every one!!! I think I would do a calander of them one for each day of this month!!! especially with the rainy and gloomy week we have had!!
ReplyDeleteYou really couldn't go wrong with any of these, but I'm partial to #8, #10 and #1... and I hope I counted right.
ReplyDeleteFear not the great white out called winter! Surround yourself with your own fine work, and all will be well.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful, wonderful!
Breath.taking!
ReplyDeleteThese are glorious!
ReplyDeleteThese are all beautiful, Lisa! I think you need to hang a grouping of them or maybe several in a collage frame. I love how the sun is shining through the petals in one of the pics.
ReplyDeleteI love sunflowers. The seventh picture is my favorite.
ReplyDeletethanks for that field of sunflowers! It truly brightened up my sleepy day this morn - u know why!
ReplyDeletebtw, where did u shoot this from? U take amazing photos too.
#7 is my favorite. It's the full monty and so smiley!
ReplyDeleteWOW!! How impressive Lisa!
ReplyDeleteThat is exquisite.
ReplyDeleteI'm going with what's behind Door (photo) Number Three!
ReplyDeleteNancy
*gasp*
ReplyDeleteOh my! A whole field of sunflowers! Wow! Beautiful!
it's difficult to decide but i'd go for the third photo --- so you can have lots and lots of sunshine to last the whole winter months :)... and besides, i like the composition and i can feel the sun beaming on those sunflowers on the first row... winter can be dreary, but with these flowers, they take the gloominess away :)
ReplyDeleteMy mouth is wide open in awe. your shots are just so beautiful. the sky looks so unreal. I love your photography.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful shots!! The second picture is wonderful... they all are. Love it.
ReplyDeleteStunningly gorgeous, L. And, actually I'm going to email you in a bit as I have a question to ask. I hope I remember. Geez. I'm such a freak lately.
ReplyDeleteDo a collage. This may very well be the best collection of excellent sunflower pictures I have EVER seen!
ReplyDeleteWow! I am bowled over by the lovely photos. Never seen anything like it. Came over from david's. You deserve POTD!
ReplyDeleteFrame the one lifting its head to the sky about to open, the eternal proimse of sunshine. Congratualtions on POTD, fantastic. Isn't David ace?! MH
ReplyDeleteOver here from David and oh what stunning piccies, I adore the last one and the one looking at the back of the sunflower - great job
ReplyDeleteI love sunflowers!!! ALL of your photos are SPECTACULAR … and each would certainly brighten your day for sure. I can’t really choose a favorite … but the first one with the bees is unique … the 3rd, 4th, and 5th of the field of flowers make me smile … as does the 6th just opening. Sorry I’m no help here. Would you mind if I snagged a couple to use for ‘awards’ … I’d give you credit, but it’s okay to decline if you’d rather not.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
