Haha, thanks for making me feel better!! At least the last part of your comment did!! Actually, it made me laugh and laughter is the best medicine, right? Great pics of a helicopter duster, never thought it'd be that interesting!!
I spend a lot o time at a freinds farm throughout the year and I have never witnessed something so cool like that. Where is this farm at? Everytime I go up to the farm I always drive around and take pictures. Something about farm land is so peaceful and surreal!!
Thanks for sharing. They were some of my favorites!
I'll bet seeing the helicopter landing on that truck was quite something! We have a lot of crop dusters in the North end of our county but they're all planes - I've never seen a helicopter do that before. Very cool!
What wonderful shots of the heliocopter dusting crops. I’ve seen planes that do this but never a heliocopter … though we do have heliocopters and planes that do water drops to fight fires here in So Cal. Thanks for sharing ;--) Hugs and blessings,
Never seen anything like it. I LOVE the shots with just the helicopter and the clouds. And the last one with the green field and red truck is terrific, too.
Excellent photos, however I feel sorry for the farmer who owns the crops. Having been a duster for over 30 years and having flown both fixed wing and helicopters, airplane spraying is the way to go for best treatment and application. Helicopters are best for the pilot because they can do a lot more work in shorter time periods. But the farmer is only getting 25% coverage on the target area of the plant vs 60% target coverage for the plane. Helicopters blow the spray down to the ground, whereas plane spraying allows the product to settle on the plant. Ivy league studies back up this information as well. I just wish chopper pilots would quit being so greedy and stop feeding co-ops and farmers with bogus information about the advantages of heli operations.
great shots! i especially like the 3rd and 5th ones. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. I love the first one.
ReplyDeleteWow! Interesting sight and impressive shots! Thanks for sharing and Happy WW!

ReplyDeleteVery cool, Lisa. How bright the day looked - perfect for... crop dusting, apparently!
ReplyDeleteWow...Awesome photos!!
ReplyDeleteYou certainly did NOT miss the shot Lisa! Beautiful I say!
ReplyDeleteAwesome close-ups! I know how hard that is because they move so fast. Hopefully you didn't get "dusted" as well.
ReplyDeleteThat sure is something we don't get to see in Belgium! No need for it, it rains enough as it is!
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing! Great captures...
ReplyDeleteThose are great. I have never seen one of those. Happy WW
ReplyDeleteVery nice shots! I really like the last one of the truck. Kinda reminds me of a Hidden Valley Ranch Commercial. LOL!

Well, I've seen lots of crop duster airplanes, but the helicopter is a first for me. Nice pictures.
ReplyDeleteWow,that is something new to me, a helicopter crop duster :D
