Macro Monday is easy to play, snap a macro (or close-up) photo, post it on your blog and come back here and leave a comment.

I could not resist showing more of the beautiful strawflowers. This time more fully bloomed.

  1. Beautiful!! I let my flower garden go this year because I had too much on my plate, but was happy with the perennials that didn't seem to mind my neglect too much ;)

  5. I just love the third photo. That angle in awesome!! Great pics. All we have around here are mums and those won't be around much longer because it just keeps getting colder. So I love looking at your flowers. It warms things up a bit.

  10. Beautiful Lisa, you're really a Macro expert!
The flowers in the pictures above are very familiar to me. We used to dry them and pin them on an Oasis ball (or tempex, is it called tempex?). I loved to do that, they were high fashion when I was a young girl!

Mine is up too, see you!

  11. Heehee! Lisa, I tried to take a close-up of one of my pets (the parrot) - without flash, of course, out of concern for delicate little eyes. He's usually a complete showoff, but once the camera came near, all he wanted to do was bite the lens!! As a result, I have several blurry "extreme closeups" of his beak, lunging for the camera. Perhaps I should start with macros of inanimate objects first :-)

  28. I didn;t know they are called strawflowers, I've seen them during the recent flower show here, I think it need a colder climate than ours to strive well.
