The more difficulties one has to encounter, within and without, the more significant and the higher in inspiration his life will be. ~ Horace Bushnell

I really liked this quote too but it didn't really fit with a cancer fight:
Most of the shadows of this life are caused by our standing in our own sunshine. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

sparkling snowflake
Begin doing what you want to do now. We are not living in eternity. We have only this moment, sparkling like a star in our hand-and melting like a snowflake...~Francis Bacon, Sr.

possibilitarian
Become a possibilitarian. No matter how dark things seem to be or actually are, raise your sights and see possibilities - always see them, for they're always there.

I loved finding the following quote from Barbara Bush, who knew a political figure would quote a movie character - and that it would be so right on?
Find the joy in life, because as Ferris Bueller said on his day off, "Life moves pretty fast and if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you are going to miss it."

Many Moths
Life is a frail moth flying, caught in the web of the years that pass. ~ Sara Teasdale

I normally have a yellow bulb in my back porch light, but while attempting to catch the flying squirrels on "film" I changed the bulb to white. It's only been white about a week and we discovered over an inch of moth carcasses piled inside the glass shade.
As soon as I saw the photos on my camera's screen I knew I wanted to attempt a texture layer on them. I knew I wanted a vintagey look and hope I've achieved it. These are my first attempts at textures. :0)

Precious Addy
Just try to tell me that my little granddaughter isn’t precious. I took these photos of her at Tristan’s birthday party last month. She’s two months old and loves to smile.
And blow bubbles.
Tristan (and his dorito fingers) had to show me where her nose is.
Of course, that made her laugh.
Always start your day with a smile, and if you can't then grab your grandchild, they'll teach you how.

Beauty everywhere
Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy. ~ Anne Frank

A few days ago I was having some down time, the next day I stumbled onto a new blog and found the quote above in the sidebar there. The timing of things often amazes me.
