Watching Elk
We saw this fellow in the distance and pulled off into a parking lot to grab a few shots.
Oops, here he comes.
He's passing us and he crosses the road so we move into another position - the sun was coming up during this time, you can see the lighting change as the series continues.
He had many ladies on the other side of the road and he seemed to be trying to shoo them away from all us watchers.
He even has some babes there - aren't they cute!
He did a little talking, and as you can see, it was a chilly September morn.
I got a little panicked when I saw this in my lens, in fact I ducked back in the car ready to roll up the window, lol. He was further away than he looks.

ReplyDeleteMighty elks with huge horns. Over here they have a tough time getting around in the deep snow. Hard for them to find something to eat as well
