The blooms are a nice splash of color against the dreary winter.

ReplyDeleteWe have a red hibiscus plant here by our Florida house, but it froze during December when we were below freezing! In March we'll cut it down to the ground, and soon it'll be growing and blooming again.
Very nice shots!

These are real macros ! Impossible to have such a result with my little Sony Cyber ! It's amazing how a flower looks from inside !
ReplyDeleteFilamen are such an interesting subject to capture, it's easier with my prosumer Canon S5 with a Raynox macro lens but with a newer DSLR Pentax Kr, it;s a bit difficult with just the kit lens, Need to purchase a macro lens soon.
ReplyDeleteFirst time to join Macro Monday... the amaryllis is such a pretty flower.

ReplyDeleteMore importantly, watering at these times actually helps the plant retain water.Best karachi nursery If you water in the afternoon, especially during summer, the heat and sun are at their peak and the plant's water will evaporate instead of absorbing into the soil and roots.
ReplyDeleteSimilarly trim down cleaned plastic soda or water bottles to use under smaller pots.Plants suitable for karachi Plastic refrigerator storage containers that have lost their lids make a cheap alternative to plant saucers. Some premade pie crusts or purchased pies have sturdy pie plates that make good drip trays for single containers.
