And after forty some years, I can finally mark Hawaii off my traveling license plate game - in Wyoming!

    Congrats! I have several pics of me next to the 45 degree sign. then in 2009 got a pic next to the 45 degree sign in the SOUTHERN hemisphere...was a really cool feeling!

    Great photos. There is a place in Ireland (can't remember where) called the Giant's Causeway which has similar columnar joints left by cooling lava.

    Looks nice and warm there. I can't say I've ever seen Hawaii license plates and I saw plenty having grown up near the Great Lakes Navel Base.

    Now I want to see the sheep! :) lol Yellowstone is the perfect spot to mark off those license plates....you see them from about everywhere! More gorgeous captures of this beautiful scenic area!

    I love the first sign. For once in my life, I know where I am in the world. Well, if I were there in Yellowstone, anyway! :-)
    Fascinatingly cool basalt cliff, a magnificent natural rock garden. Thanks for sharing the tidbit on Shoshone history, and congrats on the Hawaii license plate!

    Hilarious about the license plate. I've been to Yellowstone, but I never saw those signs. I guess they were buried by snow! I went in winter...
