We walked a few of the paths in Yellowstone and snapped many photos! These are a few of my favorites. The color of that water! Just wow!
The white in this formation is not snow.
The Geysers were way awesome!
Still amazed that things can and do live there.
I agree - the colour of that pool is just amazing. What a place!
ReplyDeletedramatic and colorful. I'm also amazed how plants survive on rocks and these are beautifully colored
ReplyDeleteI like that diagonal cloud in the 4th shot and the colors and textures are really nice.
ReplyDeleteI love that first shot. It's so unearthly and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteDoes it smell strongly of sulphur?
ReplyDeleteThose views are unbelievable.
That white stuff, what is it?
Looks a bit like the limestone we have here under the clay.
I loved Yellowstone and hope to visit again. Didn't like the road in the icestorm
ReplyDeleteWow, so pretty, all of these! I love the first image of the crystal blue pond w/ the steam and the last image...the contrast between life and death is very evident! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely spectacular! My favorites are the first and third photos, for their elemental and primordial appearance. The rugged vegetation clinging to the rock has a particular rough beauty.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! I love all the colors Yellowstone has to offer. I just posted a shot of the travertine deposits near Mammoth on my website 2 days ago .... http://bluelionphotos.smugmug.com/Landscapes/Landscape-Gallery/Mammoth-Terraces/1174959607_UYWUj-M.jpg
ReplyDeleteThanks for another great share!
I believe that the first picture is my favorite. Love the blue. :)
ReplyDeleteThe first photo is just what I remember! That blue is so amazing.
ReplyDeleteWe simply have to put Yellowstone on our go to list. Your pictures are wonderful!
