the flower and the fly

I actually was going to take a photo of my flower when the fly got in the way. But I'm good with going with the flow and quickly changed my subject. I couldn't resist cropping in a little closer afterwards. Now I don't really like flies, but I think he was a pretty cool subject!

    Those are stunning pictures, Lisa ... don't you just love it when you find something even better, or more interesting, to photograph than the subject you planned to capture! I call it lagniappe.

    Wow -- I have never seen that much detail on a fly before. I am not much of a bug lover either -- except when taking their picture to see the amazing detail. It also amazes me how close I will get to these bugs that I don't like when I want to take a photo of them : )

    Lisa...I really like the soft colors of that flower. And, the fly?? Well, pretty awesome clarity....eeeewwww. I have to appreciate this shot!! It's magnificent, but still...flies are icky :)

    Now I've seen everything today: several dragonflies of various colors, one damselfly, and now an actual fly fly. As several people have already said, not my choice of subject, but super photography.
