butterfly
I can't see a butterfly without thinking of my mom. When I was a very little girl I made her a Mother's Day card out of construction paper and crayons. I drew her a butterfly and inside I wrote, "Butterfly flutter, 'round my mother, tell her that, I really love her". Last I knew she still had that card, and I think when she sees a butterfly she thinks of my little ditty. Even though I live over 700 miles away from my mom, I get to visit with her often in the summer when the butterflies fly.

What a beautiful memory this gorgeous butterfly provokes! What a happy meaning the butterfly has to you!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the sentiments with this one. My mom's birthday is next month, so I associate her special day with golden aspen leaves!
ReplyDeleteLove it! What a wonderful memory you two have built together. Love the butterfly pic too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful memories Lisa. 700 miles is a very great distance, I'm so glad my mom lives a little closer, especially after what she's been through lately.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet...and a great photo as well.
