And this one look so very cute! A beautiful little face! I imagine that it is the sound the chipmunks make and their surprise scurrying that drives you mad!
If they do no damage in the garden I would be happy to have a bunch running around. However we only have wild shy brown ones and dogs seem to go crazy when they se them so I will never have a chance like you. Besides your striped ones ar much cuter :-) A perfect SOOCphoto!
Great shot. He's adorable. We have one or two chipmunks living under our back porch, but they don't seem to be much trouble. The squirrels that are always getting into the bird feeders are more annoying!
I share your attitude about chipmunks. When we first moved to squirrel country, my wife got angry at me for calling them cute rats. Now she understands.
I did a recent post about chipmunks as well. We loved ours and even named them. Of course, we were just on vacation for a week so it's hard to get annoyed with anything that quickly. Not sure how we'd feel if they were living in our backyard all the time ;-)

ReplyDeleteThey are cute, but! As long as you keep your distance, enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteHe looks to be a little nutty too! :)
ReplyDeleteThey are such cute little creatures you can't help but like them! Great shot
ReplyDeleteThey are so cute! We don't have them here, but we have lots of squirrels.
ReplyDeleteOh, its such a cutie! And has a big hunk of food to chow down on later.
ReplyDeleteI only see chipmunk once. This one is a cutie!

I'm so glad you are changing your attitude about them. They really are very cute. Mischievous, but cute. :)
ReplyDeleteYou amaze me. That is really something! These nutty dudes are so quick--you doubly amaze me.
ReplyDeleteKnow they can be pesky little critters, but he IS cute!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen a chippy for a LONG LONG time! This image is spectacular! I adore it!
ReplyDeleteI think that's the best idea...I certainly would be thrilled if I had new subjects to photograph.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but they are just so cute!
ReplyDeleteOh the chipmunk is so cute! I'll trade with you for the chipmunks instead of squirrels. :-)
ReplyDeleteThis one looks a little crazed though. That expression is pretty... uh... well, crazed.
ReplyDeletehow sweet this chipmunk is and you caught him nabbing some food too.
ReplyDeleteWow, I can see every whisker ... great detail. He's cute in a "Hey, I'm trying to eat here," annoyed kind of way!

so adorable, chipmunks are entertaining when they aren't being pests
ReplyDeleteAs long as they are not from the annoying Alvin clan, I'm okay with their presence ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh I would so love to have chipmunks here... No chipmunks in Ireland... Just grey squirrels and a scattering of red squirrels in a few places...
