The other two animals brought in for the kids’ enjoyment were this ferret. Such a happy little guy!
And a porcupine. Such a cute face!
Treats helped him stay calm.
Check out the spikes left in the gloves!
The porcupine was pretty nervous and kept burrowing into the lady holding him.
It didn’t seem to stop the kids from petting him though.
I couldn’t resist petting him either. Felt kinda like petting a brillo pad.
Wow, the quills in the glove are crazy...but they are cute little critters.
ReplyDeleteDidn't know you could pet them at all...still wouldn't be too keen on it :-)
ReplyDeleteJust goes to show you that every living being needs to be loved. It's so cute how he's burrowing into the lady holding him. Cute photos...thanks for sharing:)
ReplyDeleteNice series of images, its comes a surprise to me as well that you can pet these cute animals. The incredible amount of spikes left on the gloves is wow.
ReplyDeleteI was seeing wide eyed, the petting of porcupine with bare hands. Great shots!
ReplyDeleteOh my look at those gloves!!
ReplyDeleteAwww, they have such cute faces!!!
I've never touched a porcupine - but I've seen what the quills can do to a dogs nose.
ReplyDeleteDo they have a stinky odor?
Petting a porcupine, I didn't think you could.
ReplyDeleteHow cool. Not my idea of the most cuddly pet but pretty cute anyway.
ReplyDeleteOh, these are great . I have looked at ferrets at the pet store and wondered how and why they are pets at all; your images show me another side. Very nice. Thanks, Lisa!
ReplyDeletehaven't seen too many porcupines on this meme..So here it is at last sandy
ReplyDeletepetting a brillo pad - lol

Love the porcupine! So cute. His quills are awesome.
ReplyDeleteGosh, how cool!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a porcupine, sooo cute :D!
Great photos - I love the porcupine!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so soft, but when you look at the "spikes left in the gloves" image, you know that it's not!
OOHH he looks soooo big!! and ooh you petted him!! We know we have had porcupines here..as once our kitty had them stuck in his face...never seen him...but he was here!!
ReplyDeleteOh, they do have such cute faces. We won't be petting our porcupine any time soon. I must say, the temptation is there, but I am sure we would get a mitt full.
ReplyDeleteHow AWESOME! I've never seen a porcupine in person, before, so I wouldn't have been able to resist petting it either!
