Wonderful photographs. I love squirrels, even though so many people see them as vermin and a nuisance. They are cute and fun and that's good enough for me. Shame we get no reds over here, as the Greys drove them out decades ago
That's great that you have a variety of squirrels visiting you throughout the year. They always give me a pleasant moment. Thanks for visiting and commenting on the orchids. I took those pictures during the summer months a few years back. I guess I was in a colourful orchid mood as the white snow is falling in WA State.
these are really wonderful photos!... my fave is the red squirrel... i wonder why is it arching its back... maybe it's not scavenging, just doing some aerobics to keep fit:)... well, i think they have to, with the amount of food they keep nibbling:)...
by the way, i received your book around two week ago...and i finished reading it in two days!... thanks...
I like squirrels too, though they can be quite a nuisance around a bird feeder. The ones here stay back in the woods, but in our old place they would come right up to the slider doors and mock the cat. Cheeky monkeys. ;-)
I love squirrels so much, but we don't have a lot of them here in Brussels, I only see once in a blue moon one running up a tree. Ours are smaller and have a red fur !
