Several months ago my husband had some escargot with dinner, and while I would not touch them with a ten foot pole. I did bring those cute little snail shells home with me to photograph.
I remember washing them up real good, but then forgot all about them. I apparently tucked them into a couple of the drawers of my jewelry box and promptly forgot about them.
I hope you aren’t too disappointed by this revelation. L^2 at Dog's Eye View was the lucky guesser.
So I snapped a few photos before I ship the shells off.
CONGRATULATIONS L-Squared!
I can't remember the last time I had escargot...now you've done it...no doubt this will become a craving now :-)
ReplyDeleteAwww man, I didn't win! But congrats to who did!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!! I’m still surprised I got it right. :-)
ReplyDeleteI wouldn’t eat escargot either, but when I was a kid we had a couple of tiny snails that lived in our fish tank for a while – that’s what made me think of it. Our snails’ shells didn’t look anything like these though; as I recall they were rather plain looking.
wow....I would have never guessed that...unless of course it was a box from my son's room!!
ReplyDeleteAnd congratulations from me :)!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, the last one looks like a still life ! I loved eating snakes in the past, now I don't eat them anymore.
ReplyDeleteno way. This could turn into a slug fest.
ReplyDeleteHow neat! Well - I could have guessed elephant and wouldn't have been any closer! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat shots and congrats to L-square!
Cheers, Klaus
I love the pics and CONGRATS to the winner!!!! =)
ReplyDeleteI've had them before (ONLY ONCE)! Not bad if they use a really good garlic butter sauce!!! =)
Congrats to L-Squared! I'm relieved to know what was in the drawer. It was one of those questions that would randomly pop into my head LOL
ReplyDeleteCongrats is right!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd eeewww i wouldn't touch that either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I never would have guessed that in a million years! Congratulations to the clever winner!
ReplyDeleteThose shells certainly ARE pretty, but I wouldn't have touched the insides with a ten-foot pole, either!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be touching them with a 10 foot pole either, but I would save the shells, because I am like that.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations L-Squared! I guess we were on the same wave length as I guess seashells too. :0)
ReplyDeleteLisa, I love the pics of the shells!
