What a great photo essay! I like the first photo the best because of the way the wings glisten. Those face shots are pretty cool, too. Well done. Happy WW.
Wow! How in the world did you get that dragonfly to stay still? What are you? Some sort of dragonfly whisperer? I've never seen a dragonfly stop for more than a millisecond before moving on. I adore dragonflies. Well done.
Oh. And I couldn't possibly pick a favourite. They're all stunning.
I would say my favourite is the third from the top. I have to say although the face photos are cool, they kind of gave me the heaby geabies. Not the most loving face, that one.
It's between the last shot and the last super close up shot. Both excellent! I've become quite enamored with dragonflies of late. Yours seems to be frowning a bit, compared to the one I had put up where he was definitely smiling. Could it be??? Anyway, do you know the name of this one? I have a hard time with knowing them.
That's a tough one, but I love flowers, and I especially love peachy/pinky/yellowy flowers, so the one where the dragonfly is perched on the flower that you can see a lot of flwoer is my favorite. But OMG all so so wonderful!
First and last. ACK! I can't stand to look at the photos where the dragonfly has drops of water on it's eyeballs! It makes me blink and since I can't blink it away, I have to look away quickly. It's very disturbing!
Gorgeous, as usual! I like the ones with the water droplets on his eyes. You can actually see the compound nature of his eyeball through the magnification of the water droplet! How cool is that?!? What kind of lens did you use for those?
Just when I think you can amazae me no longer here ya go again!!!! Those are something else!! I have recomended Blurb.com before but have you ever done a book of your spectacular photos before? or like on Snapfish? I would so buy one...or two!! I love them all!! The detail you capture I just love it!!
Are you kidding me? I can't pick a favorite! Those are all so frickin' AMAZING!!! I am at a loss for words. They are SO cool!!!! 1, 5thru 12 are my faves.
So BEAUTIFUL, Lisa. You know, I could have sworn I put your new addy in my reader TWICE now and I sat and read all the new traffic and nothing from Lisa. So I sat some more and nothing from Lisa and then it hit me that something was wrong. I knew you would have treasures to share with us.
So anyhoo, you are updated with me and I'll be back later tonight to read what I've missed. I've missed a lot! :-)
Now THAT. THAT is what a FANTASTIC macro shot is. I adore the first and last shots - pure eye candy.
