My mom has her own colorful flying crayons and she is always blessed with many hummingbirds.
This female brown-headed cowbird stayed perched high on this post.
She called to her feller.
And looked so happy when he showed up.
Out for an evening stroll, this sparrows wittle feet just cracked me. He looks like a wind-up toy.
Maybe he was being forced to walk the plank.
I think they have their eyes on me. I better stand real still for a few minutes.
I guess I’m doing a good job of blending in.
I thought about taking this one home with me. I never have hummingbirds in my yard.
Love them all - as usual :D
ReplyDeleteThat sparrows cracks me up too. Doing a little tab dance :)
And I've never seen a hummingbird, sigh.... :)
Those a great shots! Looks like you really DID blend in!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Klaus
The sparrow shot and your comment about it is priceless. And that last hummer is so nice and clear. Good get. I have just the opposite situation from you: I have so many hummers that I'm refilling two sizable feeders daily. Such little piggies! But then, the goldfinches are too :-)
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see birds these days I think of you! I saw some beautiful Rosellas in a tree near my house the other day and I could not take a picture for you as my lens won't see that far! I did take one in the bush but he was so high up when I zoomed in it went a little fuzzy!
ReplyDeleteYour photos amaze me. I love the hummingbirds. Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I tried to take photos of hummingbirds in my mother-in-laws yard but I was never quick enough!
ReplyDeleteFlying crayons...I LOVE that image!
ReplyDeleteAs always Lisa, fantastic pictures. Thanks for playing PSF this week!
Gee I completely forgot about Photostory Friday!
ReplyDeleteI'll try to do better next week!
But I love yours!!!
Are you sure these photos were not taken in our backyard? We have the same bird feeders nd birds in our yard!
ReplyDeleteLove the wind-up toy bird!
ReplyDeleteI love love love your bird shots. And a hummingbird too? WOWZA! What telephoto did you use? the 70-200L or 70-300? I need to know - I'm shopping for one. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely photos as always, Lisa!
ReplyDeleteGreat capture of the hummingbird! We can see the lil hummers in the Spring and towards the end of Summer. They love the Cape Honeysuckle bush we have out front.
Have a great weekend!
Great photos! These shots are really amazing and must have been fun to snap! I love birds and how fun they are to capture!
ReplyDeleteI love the one with the sparrow with one foot up. Maybe he's doing Tai Chi!
ReplyDeleteHummingbirds are great! Well done:)
ReplyDeleteLOL @ the plank! Such adorable birdies. We have what I think is an Oriole hanging out in our backyard. I should snap a photo but I know it won't be as gorgeous as yours.
ReplyDeleteI never get tired of the bird pictures
