walk
Walk, get up and walk, even if you aren't able to do any other type of exercise, walk. It's good for your body and I find it's good for my soul. While walking I can get lost in my thoughts or lost in nature, either way it's a great day!

Everyday Life ~ Signs
Stevens Point Brewery is big around here. I have to admit I've never tried it, I'm not a beer drinker, just don't like it. I've also never been inside, lol. Point beer is sold all over the state.
I have been wanting to share more about the area I live in for a while now. I've been wanting to participate in the Everyday Life Around the World meme for several weeks. Finally I got my ducks together, seems this may be the best way for me to share my neighborhood.
When I read the theme was signs I knew exactly where I wanted to go. I laugh at the beer bottles crossing sign every time I pass it. I think it's rather unique and I imagine the sign is there because they offer tours and the parking lot is across the street. I live in Wisconsin, beer is a way of life, lol.
On my way back home I was surprised to find so many fallen leaves. It's only August! Shouldn't be fall already. :(

SOOC #10 Drink much?
We found this sign while in the Keys. Me thinks the other side might be more honest?
Thanx to my crazy husband for giving me his version of a drunk bum.

What kind of soup?!
Forget the $1.25 burger, give me som' uh that HO-MADE soup please, but only if'n I can meet the ho tha' made it. I forget if this is technically in Monitowoc or Three Lakes, but it's somewhere between the two, and every time I see the sign I laugh and think I should get a photo. This time I had the point and shoot ready as Dennis sped past. I think I embarrass him sometimes, but he's learning to live with it.
Did you notice the seagull? Maybe he's tomorrow's soup?

Things that don't seem to fit anywhere ~ so I threw them together.
I found these pieces of dollars in the pocket of a pair of my jeans - I dunno why they were there. At first I thought it was two pieces of one dollar - but check out the serial. . .
A note taped to the side of a building in Heritage Park, the item you can barely see on the ground next to the building are antique farm equipment.
'Please move your canons to somewhere they don't startle and frighten the elderly near here. . .'
We frequent our Starbucks so often. . .well, I think we help keep them open. lol. But we love our baristas and evidently they love us too. Heidi made this card for Dennis when he was having the heart issues, and several of them signed it. :)
See, there we are in our Newdae car and they're all squished in the window to chat with us. lol
Khris brought Dennis a colorful balloon for his birthday in August and I had to play with it - and the fisheye, although the fisheye is not so fishy when put on a cropped sensor.
Just try getting a shot of the sky from your street with a fisheye without getting some trees - it catches a 180 degree angle.
We've had some beautiful sky lately!

hula hooping
Near Winter Park Colorado.
UPDATE: This photo was not photoshopped, I saw several of these coming into Winter Park, along the main road. It does look like the hoop is a sticker of some sort.
How funny that I decided over a week ago, to use this photo today. I just found out that today marks the 50th Anniversary of the Hula Hoop.
