Some of my favorite dogs
On our way into the Theodore Roosevelt National Park we saw this Bald Eagle sitting way up high.
But as we came around the next curve in the road we were greeted with a Prairie Dog community. How I love these guys. They are so fun to watch and it's intriguing to me that they all live in a little community - you never see just one prairie dog hole all by itself.
They kinda bark like my pups, how nice of them to warn their neighbors.
I wondered if this one was just chubby, or maybe getting ready to add to the community?
I think this is one of the older members of the group, she reminds me of Ma from the Golden Girls, lol.
I guess every community has a dimwit, er uh village idiot. I don't think it would be very safe to have your hole right in the middle of the road, cars can play a game of whack-a-mole by accident.

sooc #20 World's Largest Holstein Cow
First I have to thank Jan, because of this meme I was able to share this whole series without tweaking first. Love it! Salem Sue is reported to be the World's Largest Holstein Cow and you can see her from miles away, I believe I read it's 5 miles that she can be seen.
She peeks over tall trees as you drive up to see her.
Dennis decided he was thirsty, hope he doesn't drown.
She had gas, and boy did it smell! ;0)
There's someone to look up to.
Please don't step on me!
We walked further up the hill from Sue and when I turned to look back I was impressed with how far I could see. It had me singing, "I can see for miles, and miles, and miles. . ."

World's Largest Buffalo
Cell phone pic snapped at the visitor's center in Fargo, North Dakota. I loved the colorful buffalo, but he's not the biggest.
The World's largest buffalo is a little further down the road. (point and shoot pic)
Trying to show how big he is I hid behind the bison's leg.
My husband was way more creative and feared being pooped on.
I couldn't resist a quick self portrait reflection - I'm a critter too, right? ;0)
Real Lhasa Apso puppy, you can see more of her in the post below. . .

World's Largest Metal Sculpture
We went through North Dakota too late to see all the beautiful sunflowers with their heads up.
I did find one that still had its petals. :0)
We could see this metal art from miles away and due to the time crunch of traveling we almost decided to zip on by, but we pulled off the highway and snapped a couple of photos (this is where the field of sunflowers was) before going to try to find the rest of the metal art.
It is certified as being the largest metal sculpture. Geese in Flight is 110 feet tall and 154 feet wide! You feel very small standing next to it looking up and at 157,659 lbs I do not think I want it to fall on me.
We decided to travel a little bit of the enchanted highway to see some more of the sculptures along it. The largest grasshopper is somewhere along the route. All we managed to see were the deer before we decided we better move it along. Maybe someday we can go back and see the Pheasants and other things.
