I call him Suckface, seems appropriate. He looks so weird, and prehistoric.
He's really rather freaky!

ReplyDeleteI love the fish! They are so fun to watch while they travel across the glass.
ReplyDeleteThey are such wierd fish. Whe we had one (fish was a while ago, I'm allergic to the food), my husband had nightmares about the pleco leaving the tank!
ReplyDeleteYa, it's a little freaky, but has beautiful markings.

ReplyDeleteI don't think I've never been so up close and personal with a fish.
ReplyDeleteI just love the sucker fish. We had one with our 50 gallon tank, a long time ago....wish I still had that tank. You know, I tend to get rid of things, in the moment, only to want them back later. We just don't have the space to keep something that we're not using. Sorry, thinking out loud :)
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of your little sucker!!
yep Lisa, suckle seems quite appropriate! Very cool pics of Suckle!
ReplyDeleteNot so pretty but they make interesting macro shot!!
ReplyDeleteMarvelous images... have never really looked at one of these guys this close-up! Very efficient cleaning machine... :-)
ReplyDeletebut he's cute too!
ReplyDeleteI think the name fits this fellow perfectly, great shots.
ReplyDeletedon't know if it's me, my computer or flickr, but i couldn't upload my image, though it is at my blog... ?
ReplyDeletelove your suckface's photos... very funny perspective!
Funny photos and name of the fish.
ReplyDeleteNot very kissable ! Did you try ?
ReplyDeleteInteresting and cool shots!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures. Interesting subject, too.
ReplyDeleteBrava Lisa!
ReplyDeletecool fish. :) I had similar ones once in my youth.
ReplyDeletestrange, I can´t find the permalink to your post. :( But I guess /macro-monday/ will do.
I have one in my aquarium too!
ReplyDeletefantastic shot :)
ReplyDeleteGreat underwater captures of the fish, like the mouth shots:)
ReplyDeleteOh, I think he's FABULOUS!! What great captures!!!
ReplyDeleteI think I'd call him ugly!
ReplyDeleteHa! Kinda makes you want to give him a great big kiss, dontcha think? :))
ReplyDeleteYes, a bit freaky. I guess you have a polarizer when you captured these photos. Really nice!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture. I like 1st one most.
ReplyDeleteI dare say, my mother would compare my mouth to this one when I was a teenager...my girls are nearly this wide at times...but I do think mine was bigger and sassier....sorry Mom!
ReplyDeleteSuckface is definitely an appropriate name. I think he is good for the aquarium.
ReplyDeleteGreat Macros. We have three of these. i will have to try and take some photos.
ReplyDeleteNice shot, but when i first looked, it was yucky...sorry. thought it was some other kind of slimy animal
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa,
ReplyDeleteThat is a kind of creepy looking fish, I think it's a fish. Have a great day!

Food for Thought
I like your fish, and the name is perfect. Thanks for Macro Monday. I think my weeks need some structure other than my job.
ReplyDeletefreaky-deaky for sure!! You always have the most interesting macros but then you are our fealess leader!! Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love me a "Plecky" (that's what I always called them). I really miss having an aquarium!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on nailing this shot. I've tried to take quality pictures of our aquarium, but they never succeed.
ReplyDeleteHow cool!
ReplyDeleteAww, he's got a cute face. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely pic of Suckface. :)
ReplyDeleteCute pictures of Suckface :) Is he cleaning his window?
ReplyDeleteHappy MM!
He is well named.
ReplyDeleteOh my! That is a freaky looking fish. Great capture! :)
ReplyDeleteHe he he! I took some pictures of that freaky fish in an aquarium in a shopping center in Nancy, East of France!
ReplyDeleteYours are better than mine! Thanks for sharing them;o)
Have a nice and happy day¤
Great shot Lisa! Definitely freaky!
ReplyDeleteThey really are strange looking fish.
ReplyDeleteWhenever we have had fish we always have at least one Pleco. The first one I ever had I named "Simon". And after that any one like that I have owned I always call Simon. If we have more than one in the same tank, then it's Simon1, Simon 2, and so on, so when I saw these pictures my first thought was, "Oh, look! She has a Simon!!" It just seems like the right name.
