Rosey Macro Monday

IMG_7778

City Park was very lively in February but I did find a few pretty roses. They looked even brighter against the winter dull.

  4. The roses are beautiful, with the tiny droplets glistening each petal. The sacks....yuck. Hope they don't contain lots of little bitsy-bitey spiders.

  5. Hey Lisa,

  10. The roses are beautiful, but the cocoons are yucky! I miss joining in on Macro Mondays but I just haven't been taking macros much. I may have to work on that.

  11. Truly beautiful, but I think they're camellias too.

I am constantly amazed by your photographs. Even when I try, all I get is a point-and-shoot kind of shot and you produce all these marvels. I enjoy you potos as they turn up in my feed.

  17. Gorgeous! Roses in February - we still don't have any and it's late May.

  18. Both rose images are lovely... the rain adds to their beauty! (I think that Teresa is correct that the "cocoons" are really spider egg sacs.)

  19. Beautiful roses, Lisa. I like the effect of the raindrops, almost like everything is made new again. Can't say the same for the egg sacs though.

  20. With roses no surprise, they are always beautiful, but the last picture, no idea what that could be, maybe a spider who loves yellow beans ?

  26. The roses are gorgeous! I don't know what the other things are, but I'm interested to find out! I found the exoskeletons of a bunch of locusts today, and I thought that was awesome. Hubs said I should have been an entomologist. hehe
