When we visited City Park in February there wasn't much greenery yet but there were plenty of birds. :0) Above you can see an Egret (or Ditch Chicken, lol) and some Ibis.
I think this is a Grebe.
A coot.
Some sort of Louisiana ducks.
A wood duck and some other fellows.
A warbler?
A bluebird.
This fellow tried to hide. :0)
A wonderful fountain!
that's a pied-billed grebe to be exact. i love how you kinda take a stab at your bird ids. it makes me chuckle. :)

Boy, did you hit the bird jackpot that day! That fountain would be pretty awesome on a 90-degree day!
ReplyDeleteKnowing how humid New Orleans is...I probably would have jumped INTO that fountain!! Love all the different birds...how on earth do you know what kind they are???? I think the little yellow guy is my fave!!
