On our way to Oak Alley
On our way to Oak Alley Plantation we crossed this bridge, then had to take this road going back to it, and running along the river.
We found a cemetery along the way and I had to get out and explore. I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned, but I step in a cemetery in every state we visit.
Now the weird thing happened here. As I was standing here I got a chill. I was shivering when I got back in the vehicle and had to grab a coat to try to warm back up. It was very odd.

I thought the cemeteries were fascinating too.
ReplyDeletethe one grave that looked a little too "open" would have given me a chill too. :)
ReplyDeleteI love cemeteries too, so very cool to photograph
ReplyDeleteI think old cemeteries are interesting. Walking between the stones it is natural to imagine little stories for some of the people buried there.
ReplyDeletevery cool. I love old plantation country, so much history....and I think it's fun getting a little creeped out from time to time :)
ReplyDeleteLove the old cemetery. It is a wonderful place to be. We too enjoy the old places.
ReplyDeletethe growth coming through the cracks is just a reminder of the circle of life
