I was surprised to find things blooming in Louisiana in February! The weather was perfect!

I just loved exploring Oak Alley. The top of the plantation home would have an awesome view I'm sure, but I didn't get to find out. :(

We weren't allowed in the attic either, we were told it was just used for storage and there was nothing to see there.

I loved how our guides were dressed in the period.

After the tour we were allowed to try Mint Juleps.

Dennis got a fully loaded drink, it's on the right, I got the one on the left, a virgin Mint Julep, made with lemonade.

We got to keep the glasses. :0)
