A few more photos from our zoo trip. I always love see Rhinos, I just want to rub lotion all over them.
The hippo looked like he needed dusted, but he just kept eating - no wonder he's so big.
A young giraffe was curious about all of us people looking at him.
But I had the most fun watching the elephants eat their hay.
Have a great weekend! :0)
Wow, great photos !
ReplyDeleteI must go on a zoo trip, I want to snap animals too !
Have a nice weekend !
These are fabulous takes! I love the lines and curves and color of the rhino shot.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots!!! I LOVE the zoo, although sometimes I do get sad to see some of the big animals in their enclosures. Most zoos now-a-days make very nice habitats for their animals.
ReplyDeleteI love the photos, but while looking at them, and reliving memories of taking my girls to the zoo, I can still smell the elephants, too. They didn't smell so good.............................:)
ReplyDeleteWow, amazing photos! How could you get so close. Have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteI love the zoo. Wonderful photos! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI love those animal's faces. My what big eyes the giraffe has!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, Lisa. Love the zoo, too.
ReplyDeleteLove that Rhino. I keep on looking at my yard and figure I need a large animal of some sort. Last year I had 6 cows for the summer, pretty cool. I've always thought a few bison would be cool, but a rhino? Not sure if the zoning allows it however!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous close-ups! I love safari animals!
ReplyDeleteI need to schedule a trip to the zoo before it gets too hot!
ReplyDeleteThe Rhino's always amaze me - their hides look like plating shields.
ReplyDeleteOuuuh, I wanna go to the zoo :P *drools over the cute giraffe*
ReplyDeleteOk, a zoo trip is in my future. I am always amazed by how long a giraffe's tongue is...I mean, I knew they had long necks but no one warned me about their long tongue ;-)
ReplyDeleteLisa: Those are wonderful capture of the animals at the zoo.
ReplyDeleteLove that snout caught in the cookie jar! These are really great. All those wonderful shades of brown. Soft and warm.
ReplyDeleteI love these -- especially the hippo!
ReplyDeleteyou got some really great shots. :)
ReplyDeletehappy CC!
oh what a sweet odd toed ungulate.
ReplyDeleteAll of that and maybe a pound of brain matter. whew.
great photos !
These are just gorgeous! I need to get my tail to the zoo one of these days!
ReplyDeletewonderful capture of the big animals ! I want your camera!
ReplyDeleteSomehow, I'd rather share a sandwich with the giraffe than the Rhino, Hippo or Elephant. But that's just me.
ReplyDeleteThank you for capturing the essence of these large and wonderful creatures... Do you know they can feel like us? That's what we have in common with them!
ReplyDeleteThe zoo's always entertaining. You got some great shots.
ReplyDeleteThose are some totally cool shots !!! Awesome...
ReplyDeleteI rather like those last three !!
And the other 3 as well .... great detail on the rhino !
More great images! What is the primary photo equipment you use day-to-day?
ReplyDeleteAwesome shots! I like the giraffe best, what a cutie! :-)
ReplyDeletehi i just saw your comment about the card challenge. There's really no set rules, you can post your card anytime during the week. :) I started the challenge more for myself to be motivated to make the cards. To be honest, I never did get around to finishing one last week. Oops! So no worries, you won't be banished or anything! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, such great close-ups! I esp love the rhinoceros. Sometimes I just stare in wonder at such creatures, they are so unique and different looking.
ReplyDeleteOh my ... I want to go to the ZOO with my camera soon!!! I love all these portraits ... especially the giraffe. Would you mind if I snag a copy ... just because? Ya know if I published it anywhere I'd give you credit ;--)
ReplyDeleteI love giraffe's from horn to hoof ...
They're dignified, but not aloof.
Although they give my heart a tug
giraffes are much too tall to hug!
Hugs and blessings,
powerful tele you got there, great headshots!
ReplyDeleteYou did these so well. Different than the average zoo photos.

There are days I feel like the hippo, moving slowly and not comfortable with my size. It has been bad the last few days with a very bloated stomach (don't know what it was but I think a combination of things) and just feeling rather lethargic. Those are great photos of animals we don't get to see in our back yards.
