Macro Monday is easy to play, snap a macro (or any close-up) photo, post it on your blog and come back here and sign Mr Linky. Don't forget to visit each other. :)
I opted to go for more close up photos today than macro. Hope you don’t mind. I’ve always loved weathervanes and could not resist this one. But, no way was I going to climb up on that roof for ya’ll to get a macro. Seems they are getting more scarce every day.
This carved eagle was also irresistible to me, I did get a little closer to it.
Happy Macro Monday Lisa! I had fun searching for my photo for today's post.

Yeah, you don't need to be up on any rooves. We want you around for more.
ReplyDeleteCanes just went up 2-0 on a shorthanded goal by Cullen! Woo Hoo!
Hi Lisa, I love weather vanes, too! I'm in with a few pictures this week. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa, This is my first time playing.I admire your photographic talent and love all your photos that's why I also want to join in the fun( you gave me inspiration to take macro). Thanks for hosting this meme.
ReplyDeleteAwesome photos, I'll have to try some closeups.
ReplyDeleteIts odd, I don't see vanes around where I live lol. Glad you posted one...The second photo has a really deep DOF! Happy Macro Monday!
ReplyDeleteI learned something new ! I didn't know there was a difference between close ups and macros ! In this case I did the same as you ! I love the carved eagle !
ReplyDeleteThat's an interesting looking eagle, quiet scary I must say.
ReplyDeleteThat eagle is just wonderful, and I love the silhouette of the weathervane and the angle you used to capture it!!
ReplyDeleteBy the way Lisa, did you notice there was an award for YOU in my post from Saturday?
My Macro Monday is up now too. I so enjoy playing this, thanks for hosting!
my first pre-meditated Macro Monday! Thanks to the Soeurs du Jour for pointing me in your direction.
ReplyDeleteAnd really, who doesn't love a weathervane!!?? But so happy you did not climb on the roof ... we are perfectly happy with a good ol' zoom shot!
I, too, enjoy looking at roof lines and all the things that adorn them.
ReplyDeleteYes, one more thing that seems to be biting the dust. I must do better this summer at taking barns, old gas stations (if I can find any) and now too, vanes!
ReplyDeleteOh,I LOVE LOVE LOVE the weather vane. That eagle is pretty awesome too!
ReplyDeleteThe weathervane rocks!!! I'm surprised you didn't climb up there for your close up. You're so adventurous.
ReplyDeleteI love coming here.
I`ve moved to a new blog. check out my latest. Scary birdie you have there
ReplyDeleteLove um both!!
ReplyDeleteHey Lisa,
ReplyDeleteNow that I have my new camera I want to grow up to be just like you. Your and Dennis' photography skills just blow me away. I can learn a lot by studying you two. I posted a macro today using my new Rebel SXI.

I prefer crawling around on the ground taking macro....so I will not expect others climbing to do the same! The second shot is great - he is looking for som action!
ReplyDeleteVery kewl birdy macros of the stationary kind ;--)
ReplyDeleteI played today ... and hope to get around to visit others later on.
Hugs and blessings,
Great photos! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, I really like that second one! :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat close-ups! Love the angle of the carved eagle.
ReplyDeleteHappy MM viewing everyone!
That is a great carved eagle, I saw a lot of hawks and things I didn't know what they were yesterday in SW WI. I also found the perfect thing for your squirrel, almost got it, but didn't want you to try and use it. Will post a photo later in the week.
ReplyDelete(chuckle, I should have gotten it anyway...)
Hi Lisa,
ReplyDeleteLove the photos. I'm a real sucker for weather vanes and have one perched on top of my barn. It's tipping over but looks kinda cool that way! The eagle is starring us down.
That's a great pice of art !
ReplyDeleteI really like weathervanes too. Great photos.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, I love the weathervane. How pretty!
ReplyDeleteThe second shot sort of reminds me of the wim wenders film Wings of Desire.
ReplyDeleteI love the angle on the weather vane! It's so dramatic!
ReplyDeleteThe angled picture looks terrific! And I hope you weren't climbing up on the roof to take the other one!
ReplyDelete[...] for others participating in Macro Monday, Mellow Yellow Monday and Today’s Flowers this week.
