My parents sent me this gum. I had never heard of Coffee Flavored Gum and was mildly curious. Apparently, Dennis was excessively curious as he ate what you see missing, in one setting - I shouldn’t be surprised, he does drink Espresso. . .maybe he thought chewing so many at once would be as refreshing as a huge cup of Espresso?
Me? Well I had to photograph before I could try. I did try this brown piece of gum - isn’t that what you usually find on the bottom of tables? It tasted. . .well interesting. I spit it out within a few minutes - guess it’s just not my thing.
Sorry I’m later getting this up, I was whisked away suddenly to go see ‘Star Trek’. I must say it was better than I expected - this from a non-Trekkie, but someone who did watch as a child. If you’ve never seen an episode of Star Trek I don’t think you would enjoy it as much as you would miss much of the comedy of it. That’s all I’ll see.
I'm currently experiencing a considerable amount of dental-related pain(!) so the very idea of gum in any flavor makes me hurt. A lot. But it's an interesting shot in any case. Maybe after I see the dentist tomorrow I'll feel differently about it.
ReplyDeleteWhere did they buy this gum? I'm a coffee lover, I'd definately give it a try! I'm in for Macro Monday! Thanks, Lisa
ReplyDeleteCan't find chewing gum here in Singapore since it's illegal to sell them. I usually get my fix when I go across the causeway to the neighbouring country Malaysia. But I've never seen this flavor being sold there.
ReplyDeleteI don't like coffee so I wouldn't like it, but I never heard of coffee flavored gum before!
ReplyDeletewow, illegal to sell gum?? (reading Jama's comment) I never heard of that either!
I used to chew gum constantly ... 24 hrs a day (and yes, even when I was sleeping!). At school we weren't supposed to chew gum but I just stuck it to my teeth and chewed it when the teacher wasn't looking. lol. but then I got braces and that cured me of my gum eating ... I occasionally have a piece but I can't chew it for more than a few minutes before I need to spit it out.
I sure like the coffee part but I'm not a gum chewer. More for everyone else!
ReplyDeleteThanks for getting Macro Monday happening again.
Great pictures, but not too inspired to try the gum, even though I do like coffee.
ReplyDeleteHow weird, I have been having dental pain all weekend and am desperate to see a dentist on Monday. Maybe that's why I don't want to try the gum.....
Fortunately you first shot the picture and then tried. that's nothing for me either, I never liked gums in general. But your photos are an excellent publicity !
ReplyDeleteI never have seen coffee flavored gum before. I am not a coffee person, but I do like to eat some coffee bonbons from time to time. Thank you for another great Macro Monday :)
ReplyDelete@ Mojo: I'm sorry to read about your teeth, Mojo. Hope it will be better soon.
@ Jama: Wow, I didn't know that seeling gum was illegal in Singapore. Really amazing what you can find out through the Web.
I like coffeeflavoured bonbons, so I actually could like theese. I do not usually chew chewinggum though...
ReplyDeleteI hereby participate in you macro Monday for the very first time. (Almost a bit scary... ;)
I don't think that would be my cup of coffee either ;)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a delicious gum !
ReplyDeleteThis must be a new product...I've not seen it. Not surprising to see though...now-days everything is coffee.
ReplyDeleteThis is my first Macro Monday with you.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots!!
ReplyDeleteI don't "do" gum too well, but I have to admit that the thought of coffee gum....well it's not too appealing to me.
um coffee gum...don't think I need to try that...but your photos of it are GREAT. My husband & I LOVED Star Trek. Of course, when we lived in the High Sierras during the early '70's, that's all we could get on TV. I'm ready for at least 3 sequels with these characters!
ReplyDeleteWhere did your parents find that gum? I must get some.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Star Trek, but am not quite a trekkie - I guess I classify myself that way because I have never been to a convention, I don't know what that means except to say my daughter wouldn't classify as part of the nerd-herd (or maybe she would?!) But I did go see the movie for Mother's Day and it was GREAT! Especially the part when Bones keeps injecting Capt. Kirk with remedies for his symptoms - LOL! OK, maybe I am a trekkie.
I must admit I've never heard of coffee-flavoured gum. Hmmm.
ReplyDeletePicturing Dennis with a big wad of gum trying to squeeze out the coffee taste is priceless.
ReplyDeleteLOL!
Positively bizarre. I don't worry so much about the Kona Coffee, but what are those artificial flavors? I'll pass on Star Trek also.
ReplyDeleteNever had coffee flavored gum. I like Frappuccinos (because of all the whipped cream, chocolate and sugar), but I don't like just regular coffee, so I probably wouldn't like it either.
ReplyDeleteMy post this week is so corny!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the nice comments today :-)
PS - I must get some of the coffee gum!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen that... what will they do next... flavored coffee gum?
ReplyDeleteLet's see... my favorite flavored coffees are Amaretto and Creme Brulee.... now, if they make a gum flavored like this, count me in! Great shots. BTW, this is my first time to Macro Monday! What great pictures are here!

ReplyDeleteEwww. I am a coffee drinker but who WANTS that taste in their mouth constantly. Once you swallow your coffee you don't want the taste lingering ... *shudder*
ReplyDeleteI took pictures of my irises that are fading fast. Beauty in destruction?
Hmmm. Coffee and gum don't sound so good together LOL Love the pics though.
ReplyDeleteI love the shots but most of the people I know chew gum as a breath freshener. Coffee flavor would be sort of counterproductive, but would probably taste great. I wonder if they have Starbucks latte gum. ~Mary
ReplyDeleteOh, wow! The color, the texture, the foil. I swear I can smell it!
ReplyDeleteAwesome macro, interesting flavor? I am not a coffee drinker so the gum is not an enticement but your macros are!
ReplyDeleteHad been a little lost lately on the macros, so I'll try to post more, hope you like my linky, great job all, love the frog's macro!
ReplyDeleteCheers.
I would like to try this new flavor. It's hard to get chewing gum in Singapore. :)
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...That's very interesting. It looks like a choco biscuit wafer. :)
ReplyDeleteFun images, I also had not heard of this gum. Sounds yummy to me.
ReplyDeleteI saw this movie with my son this weekend, it was fun. Though my insides went for a bit of a ride. Guess I am sensitive.
Lisa: Very nice close-ups of the gum.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting.... and did you know Juicy Fruit is yellow now? What happened to gray? LOL!
ReplyDeleteCoffee-flavored gum...? What will they think of next?
ReplyDeleteYou find the coolest things to take pictures of.................................:)
ReplyDeleteMe neither, very, very cool. Hey, I got an invite to the All Candy Expo in Chicago. Didn't think I'd ever be able to go.
ReplyDeleteHmm, I am learning to love my coffee, but I am not sure I could chew on it. lol!
ReplyDeleteGreg and I went to Star Trek last weekend, I thought it was fantastic! And hubs was impressed so that made it all the more wonderful.
I think I would prefer real coffee. But the macro's are great!
ReplyDeleteI love coffee, but somehow I don't think coffee flavored gum would do the trick for me. Nope, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't. Great pics! :)
