I met some furry friends who are looking for directions on how to get to California, where the happy cows live.
I told them to just follow their breaths.
This young one dreams of warmer days when he won't have snow on his back and icicles hanging from his belly.
Those eyes look so sad! But I think they are just frozen that way. See the ice on the nose? Maybe Wisconsin cows aren't as happy as I thought.
These are great, Lisa. I guess they could do with some warmth and sunshine, too, eh?
ReplyDelete(PS Have you heard about the World Wildlife Federation's photo contest? You would be a natural. I tried to leave a messageon your contact page yesterday but couldn't do it.)
God bless and happy Valentine's Day!
Great cow photos!! Happy Valentine's Day:)
ReplyDeleteLOL.............Yes, all the happy cows live in California, but you know, I don't think I've seen a cow since I moved here. I must be going to all the wrong places.
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures, and Happy Valentine's Day...................:)
Love your Wisconsin Cattle!!
ReplyDeleteI think our Minnesota ones look the same!!
Oh burrrrr. I can't imagine being out all winter. Great shots.
ReplyDeletePoor things! At least they have all the furry fur on them to insulate!
ReplyDeleteHow happy can dinner be? But it's pretty again, no? Sun and snow, what more can you ask for. Happy Valentine's Day, sweetie.
ReplyDeleteThese are some beautiful shots! Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteTheir eyes just go right through my heart. Could you do me a favor please? Ask them if they would like to come to Memphis and join my 7 feral cats on the patio and backyard. Now wouldn't my neighbors love that!
ReplyDeleteThose happy California Cows crack me up! These guys, not so much. They look decidedly unhappy. I think I would too if I had icicles hanging off of me.
ReplyDeleteAnd you should totally get into that wildlife photo contest somebody up ^there mentioned!
This is hilarious! I love it! If only I had a dairy farm in SoCal, I would ask you to ship all of them to me! :)
ReplyDeleteFunny dialogue and you've mad cows so cute.
ReplyDeleteHow funny - and really good photos too. One of my dogs is terrified by cows ... but likes horses! Go figure.
ReplyDeleteI am a Camera Critter Fool this week with three blog entries!

I 3rd the sentiment that you should "get into that wildlife photo contest!".
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic images. You've captured the detail of the icicles perfectly - which in my opinion makes these photos what they are. The detail in the 4th image - ice on the nose - is the best!!
I saw a cow licking the rain water off one of her buddies the other day. Never seen that before. I just assumed she was too lazy to bend down and drink from the water supply they have ;)
Happy Valentine's Day!!
Our friends said it was a blizzard up in the blues. That made me think of ice cream (Dairy Queen) and then of milk products... and of course cows. Cold cows (:
ReplyDeleteWonderful title and marvelous photos as always ;--)
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
those poor cows....they definitely need to come here where the cows are much happier, at least they are much warmer!! I hope all is well with you. I have been MIA for awhile and am out of the loop.
ReplyDeleteYep, the happy cows totally live in California!
ReplyDeleteOh poor cows, i have always hated to see these creatures in the fields when the temps are so cold, have always wandered how they just don't freeze in there spot.
ReplyDeletewas looking at those extreme macros above - Haden or whomever takes outstanding photos..Cows can see all the texture..what kind of cameraNot that I can afford..sk
ReplyDeleteI love cows. And these are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYes, the eyes look sad, but I doubt they are :)
