Now that they've started shipping boats and cars all wrapped up so they don't get dinged - especially here in Alberta where a cracked windshield is the norm - I sort of got used to seeing this oddity going down the highway.....would make a great photo!
btw - love the shots your husband took of the wind machines. The cloud! Wow!
I am going to have to visit Wisconsin in the winter. You have sold me on this trip! Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing that lighthouse doesn't see a lot of traffic this time of year...
ReplyDeleteStill makes great camera fodder though!
I always wondered how they got that plastic wrap on..........................:)
ReplyDeletekinda like shrink wrap isn't it?
ReplyDeleteAre you going to rent out rooms to the likes of me and kathleen above? ha ha
First time I've seen the wrap thing...it makes a lot of sense, now that I think about it. Sure wish I had thought of Pamela's pun!
ReplyDeleteLove that beautiful blue sky!! Lovely photos:)
ReplyDeleteNever have been to Wisconsin in the winter- makes me want to go. So beautiful & serene!
ReplyDeleteLovely lighthouse; makes a great winter shot. I grew up on the lakes (Ohio), so I'm used to seeing wrapped boats.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, nice capture of the lighthouse.
ReplyDeleteHappy WW
ReplyDeleteThe plastic wrap is funny! I've never seen anything like that!
ReplyDeleteI love lighthouses. They are so amazing! I've yet to ever see one IRL, but it's on my list.
Wow! Beautiful photos!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow ! love the light house. I have been in Madison many times visiting my aunt, but of course never in winter.
ReplyDeleteHow much longer till spring? ; )
ReplyDeleteI like the second photo best. Sometimes having a picture at an odd angle really makes it less ordinary.
ReplyDeleteAwesome shots! Although there's something contradictory (my own personal issue) about snow and a lighthouse. LOL! :D
ReplyDeleteGreat captures, clear and crisp with gorgeous blue skies!

Whoa - that last windmill picture has one freaky looking cloud. (like demonic bunny or something)
ReplyDeleteOops - that was the post before, I think.
Oh how I wish I was there. So beautiful. Great job!
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
Such a beautiful day! Lighthouses are such interesting buildings, makes me want to live in one.
ReplyDeleteStanding ovation ..... great work. Love it - but you already know I'm a big fan.
ReplyDeleteSaran Wrap for the boat is a weird concept. Doesn't interefere with the beauty of this light, though!
ReplyDeleteLovely lighthouse pictures! They remember me the great painter Edward Hopper...I love so much his paintings.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing the lighthouse in winter! Hardly ever see that! Such blue sky!
ReplyDeleteDo you know how close you were to me?! Should've sent me a message! The park is even more beautiful in summer, and then you can climb the lighthouse.
ReplyDeleteFascinating to see all those boats raised out of the water like this, but it certain makes sense in such winter weather.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Gorgeous. And it seems everything is colour coordinated too.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I've never seen plastic wrap on a boat, and I LOVE how blue the sky is behind the lighthouse.
