chaos

Even inside the body, order is important, cancer is the uncontrolled growth of cells, and no one is immune.  Just since starting this project 11 of my readers (or their family members) have been diagnosed with some form of cancer.

My chaotic life

IMG_6481

These aren't the best photos of a red squirrel but I'm not at my best at 6 am, lol. This loud mouth has been my alarm for the last few days and I'm afraid it's about to get worse - check out the next photo. . .

See her belly, yeah, I think she has wee ones, I guess I won't get to sleep past 6 for quite a while. Have I mentioned that I'm not a morning person? Although with her help I may get caught up sooner than expected, lol.

I'm almost done with our Florida photos. I just loved seeing all the bromeliads and air plants - and blooming too - in February.

Some blooms were even on their way out - in February!

While the palms were still full of leaves/fronds, you can see the other trees in the background and they are bare. You can see the path we walked here, left side of the palm, the little dead grass area - the path was so narrow, with water near it at times I was worried about gators leaping up and eating us.

Chaos is Bliss (?)

lc1526

I hope your week has been full of bright, sunshiney days!  I've been feeling just a little unmotivated and overwhelmed.  So, what do you do when you're in a funk?  I have to admit that while cleaning my windows (inside and out) made my house sparkle it fill me full of songs of cheer.  Ideas?  Thanx!

Chaos abounds in typical fashion.  And I've been doing good at sticking to my diet, but my bum is still sore from that 30 mile bike ride and exercise has been hard to fin this last week.  I've only lost 1 measly little pound in the last two weeks!  I find that frustrating and disheartening but I keep telling myself that it's okay and the pounds will eventually keep falling if I keep sticking to my program.  Right?

cell phone picture - sorry for quality

Haden had a little red spot on his knuckle a few weeks ago.  It disappeared after a few days but then about a week later it came back.  We all assumed a bug bite, maybe a spider bite?  We kept watching it, and trying neosporin and benedryl.  Well over the last few days it has gotten worse, spreading into the second finger and getting redder and some purple.  So yesterday I took him to the doctor.  She did some blood work and he goes back next Tuesday.

So far, all we know is that it is not a bacterial infection or spider bite.  It may be lymes disease or something else.  She said some of the blood tests take 48 hours to get back so we really won't know for a few days.  The immediate CBC showed low white blood cell count, low enough that they redid the count manually. . .not sure what that means.  But it has me just a little bit stressed out.  A momma always worries.   His birthday is tomorrow - my baby, the youngest of them all will be 17 years old tomorrow.  Wow I'm old!

Boy those birds look peaceful.  Maybe I just need to be a bird for a while.  I've had slooow internet, and did I mention motivation issues, bad hand kid, too much to do and not enough time to do itheadaches, taxes, chaos in my life, the last few days so I'm really behind in making my rounds, but trust me, I'm coming asap.  Does it count as complaining is I strick it out?

Some days I would love to fly away.

Maybe find somewhere peaceful to hole up for a bit and rejuvenate.  So, what is it that you do to conquer the blahs, lack of motivation, chaos, overwhelmedness, life?  Can you share your secrets?

Leopard Lily falls while SeeSawing

colorful morning

Well okay, I admit it, this photo is from last fall. But I tell ya, with all the yellows and reds I’m starting to see amongst the green it won’t be long and this’ll be here. This makes some people kinda cranky because they know. . .

. . .these days aren’t far behind. (side note - the snow was knee deep in areas and when I fell, somehow twisted my legs and could not get up, Dennis took the camera from around my neck and snapped before helping me up)

Thanx to Misti and SwampAngel, I now know that my mystery plant is a Leopard Lily (Ledebouria socialis) and it comes from South Africa. I love how full it is getting but am feeling a little guilty, like maybe I should divide it up.

This little sweetheart has given me my newest nickname, and I have to say it is one of my favorites. In fact, I like my new name SO much that I thought about changing my blog to SeeSaw’s Chaos. SeeSaw describes me in more ways than she could possible understand right now.

My tv and my bed swapped places and now the tv seems so far away, how in the heck can that be?

Tristan and his mom and dad left for vacation a few days ago, they made it to Chicago about 9pm and then a very panicked Britney rang my phone. She was the most hysterical I have ever heard! They were on the I90 toll way when their car died, just died in the one of the middle lanes. Well, it was dark and they had no clue if their lights were working and she was terrified they were going to be rear-ended.

I absolutely understand her fear and my stomach quickly turned to think of them being in that situation and me being four hours away and unable to help. A police officer did come along and help them get out of the way. To keep a long story short, there were lots of phone calls and a trip to an auto store, where it was determined to be the fuel filter that was causing issues and by midnight they were back on the road.

After the long drive to Pennsylvania Tristan wants nothing else to do with the car. I sure hope he can handle it one more time to come back home, I’m missing the little booger!

Yes, smelling the flowers means putting the flower in your eye!  Have you been doing it right?
