we found cancer
We "need" cancer because, by the very fact of its incurability, it makes all other diseases, however virulent, not cancer. ~ Gilbert Adair
October 18th will never be just another day for me. That is the day that I heard the words, "We found cancer". That is the day my life fell apart, and indeed, the day I began to rebuild it.

Hi Lisa
ReplyDeleteHow are you? I hope you are getting better each day.
Evelyn
It is the rebuilding that is the most important part. And the fact that you have the attitude that it is about rebuilding rather than destruction makes all the difference.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the day.

Love the picture and your thought. It is not the fact that we live that makes the difference. It is what we do with our lives. Or, as one of my favorite quotes says: Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it is about learning to dance in the rain". I think you do that very nicely!!
ReplyDeleteTitle scared the daylights out of me. I'm with you all the way until you hit the better anniversary...
ReplyDeleteYeah. Title scared the crap out of me, too. Hugs, Darlin'.
ReplyDeleteBut think how far you have come since that awful day...this image is a reminder the sun will always rise and set, even through the storms, and you have done just that! Be proud of yourself! :)
ReplyDeleteYour positive attitude is a wonderful thing to witness. You just keep right on going the way you are, dancing with life.
ReplyDeleteI like the quote, I think. And as always love the photos.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that is a day that you will always remember. Beautiful photo.
ReplyDeleteYou are an inspiration, my friend... in so many ways.
