Lovely shots. But yes, watch where you put your foot.
oh gosh, you have done it again........ such amazing photos
Great views of an unpopular plant. So decorative when you see it like this. Like the contrast between flower and bud.
Such a decorative plant. The angles make them even more enticing.the petals in the first picture look soft.
OUCH...that would hurt! Pretty flower though!
For an obnoxious weed, thistle sure has the most beautiful bloom! That first image is just dazzling!
We do not have those here that I am aware of. They look like they would painful boogers, but very pretty!
thistles are like poppys, goodlooking in every stage of growth
The blooms are pretty, but that seems like a painful plant. lol
I think the seed heads are neat, too. And I completely agree about the thorns! Thanks for the comment on Ginger's post!
You managed to get a nice fresh thistle and I posted a dead one. Hah Hah.
I can feel the pain! Wonderful shots!
Nope, not good for bare feet. But I so love to take photos of them too :)Love that first shot of the bright fuzzy head :D
I feel the same way, love the buds, flowers and love when they've one to seed, but I don't want to step on them.
AND... they're purple!!! I love them too!
beautiful...love that color!
Nice photos Lisa, sorry I accidently rejected your nice comment on my post by mistake ( dodgy mouse) but thanks for your comment anyway. Yes water that you cannot see the bottom of is a little scary for some people-nice macros btw.
We usually see those, or some similar, in the spring. You make them a piece of art. :D
So pretty, for a weed!
They sure do have a lot of protection. Love the vivid purple.
They really are gorgeous flowers. Do they look good dried?
