What a very beautiful quilt! Are the centers of the squares embroidered? I have such an appreciation for the hard work and time that goes into crafting such a beautiful keepsake. I made a quilt once. Took me quite a while to finish it - but when I tuck my youngest into bed and wrap him up in the double sized quilt that covers his bed, I ask him who's arms are hugging him tonight and he answers 'yours.' One of the favorite things I love to hear.
What a beautiful quilt! your mom is very creative, Lisa. I wonder how long does she takes to do this?
ReplyDeleteThat quilt is just so beautiful! I'm jealous of your mum for having the patience to make something like this!

what a beautiful work of art--but I can totally see the roads too. How nice of you to let him play on it.
ReplyDeleteLooks like gridlock to me! If he can figure out how to resolve that, he's got a really bright future ahead of him.
ReplyDeleteThat quilt is beautiful! Will she make me one? LOL
ReplyDeleteI loved matchbox cars too and would have seen roads well - I guess great minds do think alike.
