Oh, what beautiful pics! It makes me think that spring might come back...maybe...someday :-) And re. your comment on my concert post - heehee! I am the music industry's dream come true, since I like almost all types of music - it just depends on my mood. However, for Metallica, I wear EARPLUGS :-) *giggle*
these are MAGNIFICENT shots! i love the details and the warm colors! wish i could have a butterfly land on my hand just like in the last photo... it's funny, i also posted butterfly shots, but yours are a LOT, LOT better... i should ask you for some tips :)
I've been raising host plants for years in the garden in the hopes that someday our winged ones would feel welcome and breed. Now, everytime I see wonderful photos like yours, it renews my love of the insect and the promise to help them out. Thank you Lisa!
all very nice. I especially like the first shot -- looks like a greeting card photo. you so could make a calendar. I was at a Butterfly house and could score a single shot. They were flitting all over the place and my aim and shoot is still SLOW.
I'm in Racine for the helping my parents out - my dad'd been sick and my niece (whom they care for) is a BUSY body. She's weraing me out. So a big Hello from across the state.
Please update your link if you have one to my new site. I got tired of doing two sites. I also need more hits to make sure I can continue blogging for spare bits of cash now and then, and I need the links for that, so.... if you please... http://lilmouse.blogsite.org/
I wanted to stop by and congratulation another of Mojo's Diamond in the Rockpile recipients for 2008. And I'm so glad I did. The butterfly macros are stunning. I ready for the weather to warm up again so I can get back out there with my camera.
Gorgeous! I was taking pictures in the school's garden today and I saw a butterfly that had recently emerged from it's cocoon. It was so still, just waiting for me to snap it's first baby picture. :)
You do get some awesome bug shots. These are amazing! Are they archive shots, or have you been back to the butterfly house?
