Love these! As always, you are a genius. I think I might participate in your Macro Monday next week. I have some great photos of bugs that we took over the summer that I think would be fun to share.
Oh, chickadees!!!! I love chickadees! We don't have many here, but had tons of them in the winter when I lived in Oklahoma. There aren't many things I miss about OK, but the birds and the big sky are in that category.
First of all, that squirrel is a hoot! Still looking for acorns? :-) Now, the little chickadees, I'm so glad you presented the shot both ways...two different feels. I prefer the horizontal. Great DOF.
I would love to see a Black Capped Chickadee! I don't think their range pushes this far south, maybe on migration though. I'll have to look that up. Hope your having a good morning. :)
Great shots, especially the first two - I like how the branches and the bird are so sharp and in focus compared to the rest of the shot, and also how the bird looks so "focused" on his meal!
Such lovely little critters. I love the squirrel one up against a packed mound of snow. It makes him look so small. The birds are really breathtaking as well against all the white. Beautiful shots my dear!
MARVELOUS!!! Watching that little bird balance on the limb while holding its meal is amazing. So what kind of lens DO you use to capture these amazing pictures. Inquiring minds want to know ... seriously. Hugs and blessings,
these are great winter scenes! i love that bird eating his winter feast... and your best pal, fuzzy squirrel, seem to be out again for food:)... i envy your courage to go out despite the cold... but i'm glad you can do it so we'll have these wonderful photos to "warm" us:)!
Every time I visit here I think how lucky you are to have such gorgeous nature and wildlife where you are, AND blessed to have such great talent as a photographer to capture all this!! Those are just wonderful, thanks Lisa!
Either you have the most amazing zoom ever, or you're frickin' Snow White....haha.

ReplyDeleteGreat shots! In Flanders it's snowing and the temperature is way under 0°c and where not used to it. The birds here have a hard time too.
