Macro Monday Flip Flop

IMG_3267

I love thongs! Yes, when I was a kid thongs went on your feet. I still slip up sometimes, forget to say "flip flops" and get an odd look from the younger generations. lol We finally stopped at Wall Drug on our last trip west and Dennis got me this cute Black HIlls Gold necklace along with the matching earrings and ankle bracelet.  I was impressed that they made the bottoms look as accurate as the tops. :0)

Perfection is overrated.  Being real is unique, powerful.

Preparing

062510

When I was diagnosed with cancer my oldest child was 18, and three of my four children were still living at home. Tonight, I was able to celebrate in my second child's preparations to marry; there was lots of laughter and joy as we watched them rehearse. And a wonderful dinner full of their friends afterwards. My future daughter-in-law made the necklace you see pictured for me to wear to the ceremony tomorrow.

For those of you interested, she also made the bracelet, I think she should go into jewelry making instead of architecture, lol.  A portion of my dress is beneath the jewelry.

Loving Life

UPDATE: Good news!  No changes in the spots so I don't have to go back to the oncologist for 6 months.  Yippee!

A couple of weeks ago, I found this ring, I instantly liked it. "Love Life" is my mantra, always looking for the yumminess around.

Then I saw the inside, "Be Brave", and it seemed like fate, destiny, kismet - this ring was for me.  Today, I will see the oncologist.  Today, I will get the verdict.  Today, I will see if I'm still in remission or if those "suspicious areas" need more exploration.  And when I look at those little words, Love Life, I can't help but think also, Be Brave.  I'll let you guys when I know, but that won't be until afternoon.
