Reminiscing

IMG_0894

I have not even begun to look at my vacation pictures yet, life has just been so busy, so full.  Anyway, I thought I'd share these lovely blooms from this summer.

This one is my desktop right now.

You can see the spiderwebs faintly on this bloom. It seems there have been webs everywhere lately.

remission

092410

It was great getting to walk the trail a bit today. I'm not sure what exactly attracted me to this scene, I just liked it.  Plants, finding their way back to sleep for the long winter to come, winding down at the end of summer, yet still lovely.  Hibernation? Remission?  Different I hope.

life and death

081810

I don't have the best green thumb. In fact, my family always wonder how I manage to kill even cactus. I don't know how I do it, but. . . My daughter gave me this bonsai a year or two ago and I've managed to keep it alive. But that little pot, there on the left, yeah, I bought that succulent this spring and well, um, I don't think it's coming back.

I just loved the way the little bonsai looked against the screen in the window and the dappled sunlight. :0)
