A cool Jeep

I love my Jeep!

After above, before below.

This is before we did anything to her, right after we got her.

Getting the Jeep where we want her.  Her butt looks better, she had some rust and husband was able to sand her down and repaint it - looks SO much better.  She got a new back bumper, curved license plate holder and rock guards on the lights.

Her nose is looking pretty darn good too.  We replaced the front bumper last fall and added the winch.  Now we (husband really, lol) added the rock guards to the parking lights and headlights, along with the black rings.  We still need to get the side lights rock guards on, and we're thinking of adding the black in the grill.

The Prius C was getting jealous so had to add her in a shot, lol.

Spare tire cover for Jeep

 Somewhere I saw a photo of a Jeep Wrangler with a crocheted cover on the spare tire.  It inspired me to try to create one of my own.  It's going quite well, as you can see.  I'm using the Hemlock Ring Blanket pattern available on Ravelry.  I'm using bulky yarn and four 36" US11 circular knitting needles in the same way you would use double point needles.

I'm crocheting granny squares for the tread part of the tire.  They are being made with same bulky yarn and size N crochet hook.  Looks like I will need 11 of them.

My tire = Radius of 15, circumference 92”, width of tire treads 8 1/2”

Yarn bombing the Prius

I was looking for a small project yesterday while the snow piled up outside, so I whipped up a cozy for my gearshift, lol.



The Prius is not getting out today, so much snow and wind!



The Jeep had no trouble plowing right through it though. :) Was able to get out and get the needles I need to make a sweater.

Friday Find - Jeep Update

You may recall we found 2 kids' Jeeps for free and we had great plans for them. TaDa - One completely remodeled to look like our Jeep.



Dennis is going to add a tire from the parts Jeep to the butt of it so it has a spare too and the back bumper, but other than that I think she's done. :)

Friday find - jeep

If you take one jeep plus one jeep I think there's enough parts to make one decent jeep and paint it exactly like our big jeep. Add a travel bug and viola. They were free!!!

Bye bye ravioli

After 6 years with our cute lil rav4, we decided to trade her for another. We've been talking for a while about getting a jeep but we didn't want to have a car payment again. So we saved our pennies and looked around and found this sunny one with less miles than our ravioli has. We think we'll like her.
