French Quarter

DSCF3337

It was my first time walking around the French Quarter - we put on a lot of miles! Early mornings you find people out washing down the roads and sidewalks.

Daiquiri places all of New Orleans - I found them amazing!

Daiquiris of all flavors line the back wall like slushy machines in a convenience store.

  1. I guess the machines save a lot of time compared to using a blender. That would be a nice treat on a hot summer day! Lots of charming buildings. I didn't know Santa lived in N.O during the off season, LOL.

  4. I have heard it said that everyone should go there once in their lives. I would love to be able to wonder around and snap pictures of everything that I could see. I love the ones you took.

  5. I love the way they wash the sidewalks, they look so clean and fresh. another favorite feature of mine were the many full length doors opening from the stores and restaurants on to those amazing sidewalks. The wrought iron railings were also fascinating. l loved this series of pictures especially the French market. Did you have a beignet and some pralines while you were there?
