Although you will see quite a bit of white. The kids were little and not very excited about the "hot water." I loved the particularly colorful pools and the bubbling mud. The kids were more into the wildlife sightings. I love the deer shot and the way the sun rims it's antlers.Colleenhttp://www.sanderasisproper.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5114884266541988246.post-4170208815061356972011-01-26T04:29:08.000-07:002011-01-26T04:29:08.000-07:00I love yellowstone too, great shots of a great pla...I love yellowstone too, great shots of a great place. BTW since I grew up in these here mountain states I feel I must point out that the fellow in your first picture is a bull elk--just a young one, a spike in velvet. It is a beautiful picture. When we visited the park one time there was a huge bull laying along side the road similar to this one. I could not believe how many people went up to within a few feet of a creature that could kill them in a matter of seconds if it became annoyed. Yellowstone is not a zoo, these are wild animals. People tend to forget that. Sorry about the moment on the soap box ;-)kayehttp://ladygaladrielkj.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5114884266541988246.post-87967325717545112002011-01-26T09:51:19.000-07:002011-01-26T09:51:19.000-07:00These are Super! The white around the edges are the mineral deposits from the rich waters that evaporated along the edges. We see similar mineral deposits on Mars where there was once liquid water!
